I work in the nonprofit world. I wouldn’t trade for anything, but the challenges we know well include an unending list of needs, staffers filling many roles, and byzantine regulatory frameworks. Among the reasons I love Slash is just how friendly it is. I’m running budget projections, social media monitoring, grant proposals and operational benchmarking all at once on a typical day, and Slash’s firm but unobtrusive interface is a marvel. It has the features of popular task managers, but those features here do not require the tremendous learning curve you find elsewhere. That gives me more time and attention to focus on clients and services. I can’t recommend Slash highly enough.

How can I be more productive? How can I be so busy, yet feel like I accomplish so little?
These are questions I've been trying to answer for years, and I've tried just about every Todo/Productivity app on the market and none has consistently come close to helping me with this, until I found Slash 👼
Since I started using Slash a few months ago it has radically helped me to redefine what my day looks like. We all use a Todo app but none of those apps provide a structure to help you get the work done, and that is where Slash is different. It is built around a structure of day and priority planning. It forces you to be realistic with what you can accomplish. If you are having trouble prioritizing they even put in an Eisenhower Matrix and a brilliant Success screen that actually helps me feel more gratitude for myself for getting the work done.
I think Slash still has some work to do in terms of notifying me, maybe a background ticking sound or something because my ADHD makes me forget I have a task I'm supposed to be working on sometimes, but overall it's been a game-changer for me and I couldn't recommend it enough. 💪
@codymclain You can enable sounds in settings :) There's actually quite a lot of hidden little features like this in settings, just play around to make it work best for you!
And let us know your feedback! Personally I know we need to improve the sound library too, it's coming

There is something so delicious about a clean interface so that I can get to the tasks of the day. Congratulations Slash on staying the course + making a great app. AND the celebration GIFs take me out. Seriously this app feels like walking into Trader Joe's.

I have tried a lot of productivity apps: omnifocus, things, todoist, serene, 2do, taskpaper, ... the list is very long. But only slash is working for me. It's my discovery of the year. I only use it for 1 month, but the result is amazing - I really began to do more and work more productively.
Also I am surprised by the high development speed and how developers are listening to the user ideas - you can vote for the any feature you want.
I am very grateful to the guys for what they are doing.

Honestly not much into "helper apps" as I can often find them too distractive. They simply don't add more value versus the more time they take to implement into my routine. Slash is different. It really lets me get things done by its ultra minimalistic overview. No fancy gimmicks, no over-engineered animations. Just straight to the point.
Been using it for basically since it was available and really don't see myself be without it now. Been pitching it to colleagues who found the same joy using it.
Good job, Jordan!

This is the app that makes my friends and coworkers jealous. Every now and then one of my to-do list celebration gifs makes me smile so much that I post it to my Instagram stories. I can guarantee at least a handful of people will comment every time asking what app I'm using.
Slash works perfectly with my effort to try to monotask throughout the work day. I love how it syncs with the task management app that I've already been using (Todoist). I use Slash alongside CaveDay a monotasking community for remote workers, Todoist, and ReclaimAI for calendar scheduling. It's a great system and I love that Slash helps me celebrate the little wins throughout the day!
@theannefaire Ha so happy you share it! We'll be expanding on the celebratory part in coming months too :) This should both make everyone's day a little nicer AND help us get through our lists even faster ⚡️
Than you for the comment love!

If I'm entirely honest, I was a bit frustrated with Slash at first, primarily because it takes over the entire screen on my MacBook... until I realized that's the point! To-do list apps are great, sure, but Slash is really so much more. IT FORCES YOU TO BE PRODUCTIVE. You have no choice. Surrender. You are at mercy of Slash now. Segment your work by day and by week. Activate a task to get in the zone and put yourself into productivity mode. DO ALL THE THINGS! The real gem of Slash though, is the stats. This is what keeps you honest by giving you a little bird's eye view into your productivity habits (or procrastination, as the case may be - Tomato/Tomato). You can see tasks accomplished, tasks per day, hours per day, minutes per task, streak, most productive hour/day/month, as well as a graph breakdown of your work sprints. Are you 100% being shamed into staying focused... of course you are! But if it works, isn't that what you signed up for? Now stop reading this, and get back to work!
@brandonamckenzie so glad you said that :) Yes it takes some getting used to it and in early beta days we got a lot of "WTF it takes the whole screen can you make it stop?" comments, but we kept that behavior and now it really does a lot to put us into a zone :) Glad you enjoy the stats too - we rarely hear comments on these so it's good to know they come in handy. We'll be expanding on these in near future, to make them a bit more engaging. Thanks Brandon!

Do you want to know the best way to choose an app/service that suits you?
Separate those that are only trying to get more users - as their main driving force - from those who are actually trying to help users solve real issues; no added BS.
Slash is a great example of the latter.
Focus.
Get it done.
Simple?
No distractions.
No fiddling.
No eye poking.

Huge fan of Slash. Many in the comments have already mentioned the deluge of productivity apps associated with task management, but I've never found one that sticks. The psychological feedback associated with culling your list of to-dos along with the super clean UI makes this the clear winner in this space. Truly helpful for increasing focus, limiting context switching and seamlessly integrating with the right third-party tools.
I'm not personally familiar with the makers, but I'm excited about where this company is headed. Congrats Slash team.
