On one hand, I fear the UI. On the other, I love the Pied Pier level of AWS awesomeness.

It's not as good as skype or zoom and you need to have an AWS account to use it but they talking about "easy to join conversations"...seriously? 🤔

The sign in flow is confusing... It says "Email address used for calendar meetings". So I input my work address, and it brings me to the "Login with Amazon" page where it says "If you are creating a new Chime account use the email address you use for scheduling your meetings rather than your existing shopping account.."
I wasn't using my shopping account, I was using my AWS account! Seems like a bug that they think my AWS account is a shopping account? I'm not sure == Confusing.

@kalamyty Yeah, I really wasn't sure what to do here. Are we meant to create new Amazon accounts with our work emails? Decided to quit and use Hangouts instead. ;)

Why do they charge for services that we can get for free?
@texasjuicer to get business users. this will replace Zoom for a lot of people, provided Amazon's solution is more stable and has better UI. They don't want mom-n-pop audience who don't pay and is hard to please. Businesses pay a TON of money for these services, and need the best solution. Given that Amazon owns the storage, it makes sense they can do the best in live streaming.
This is pretty terrible. We tried it today and it's as bad or worse than others. Forces users to download a client to see video or shared screen and the audio/video controls are well, sub-optimal and old. Clients who are technically inept will have huge problems with this. Nice marketing video though.

No screen share on Free plan? Really? Back to Skype!

Chime - not to be confused with chyme.😬🤓🙃 -Amazon's new competitor to Google Hangouts sure promises a lot! If it's quality & stability holds up it will shake up the entire Internet!
