The killer feature: You can show up — or leave — at any time

I've been using this app for about a day now. It is really incredible. I've used it for friends but even to conference call with a few people. This will be a first screen app for me.
@benrbn Ah. Its just perception. I was perceiving it has some sort of group chat (not text based, but video/audio based). Cool.

Very cool idea - have you thought of any other use cases for this sort of idea other than "house party"? I'm absolutely not shutting down the idea in any way (sorry if it came across this way) - this looks pretty awesome and I'm definitely going to encourage some friends to use it. I moved away from a lot of my friends recently, so this would be a really fun way of staying in touch in a different way.
Wish you all the best!
Hi @benrbn congrats for the launch, one question how do you plan to bring me in with my friends ?

@benrbn seems great. Downloaded it but I stopped at the signup. I was expecting a login with Facebook so that I can see my friends if they are using it. Or at least with the mobile number. I have too many sign ups already and I think my friends might do the same. How can you win me over? Cheers
I could see this being useful when you get a group of people from different locations together. On my own experience, the only time I do something similar is when I have a conference call for work or when I connect like once a week or month with my friends from high school or so. What is the actual intended use you guys had when coming up with the idea? Or is there something that others have discovered that it is beneficial to use for that I haven't yet? Thanks!
Poor blab.im. Shut their service and declared they'd be doubling down on "building an ‘always on’ place where you go to hang with your friends." Looks like the Meerkat team pivoted to that faster with houseparty!
