Google Keep is probably the best-kept secret at Google. I use it daily...multiple times per day.

I don't know if the recent update was slept on or what but this is AMAZING!!! I downloaded and tried like a year ago and... meh... Underpowered, unimpressive. But now with the audio capture you get extremely accurate voice transcription plus the audio file!!?!? It's the voice recorder app I've been waiting for for 10 years! Plus simple tagging with # means categorizing is a snap. For any songwriter this is indispensable. @rrhoover how do I re-hunt as this needs to jump up in the queue! iOS link Google Keep - Notes and lists by Google, Inc. https://appsto.re/us/aDhw9.i

I love Keep and have been using it for a while now. I love it because it's simple, you can easily create to-do lists with checkboxes which are easily be ticked once done, you can pin your most relevant to-dos on top of the others, can insert pictures. It's super simple, with very few functionalities but that's what I need to organize my day.

Big fan of Evernote (and trust its longevity more than a Google side project), but I do like the idea of the archive here. It makes it easy to use your notes as a todo list if you're only looking at what's current.

Keep is great.

Integrated into new GMAIL (right side pane) -I used a widget on my phone to record things here with voice and note taking.

I would caution if only due to Google's history of ending products. It is otherwise a great service/app.

There is no alternative for Google Keep which is very dissapointing in terms of app having bunch of minor and one major bug which makes it useless. Any note taking app could make "sticky notes" view and I would switch happily from Keep which is forgotten and abandoned by its developers

Pros:

Best product by Google

Cons:

Having major technical issues

Very useful product to take notes and save thoughts, but have issues when searching for specific note or task as it only list the list and not highlight the particular text.
