This is wonderful. I love the deceptively simple corner-dot UI. They found a nice balance between ease and likelihood of use vs. taking the time to use a traditional scanner to capture photo-prints. It's better to have OK copies of your old photos than to procrastinate and have no copies at all.

This is just plain awesome! I've been thinking about scanning in the old family photos for ages, but happened to never get to it for some reason *wink wink*. Now, I have no excuse! :)

I love that Google is building new product but beyond glare, any scanner should let you add date and location even if it is a guess.

could this technology be used for other things like scanning documents @dflieb ? Glare is a major problem when I'm trying to scan documents. Evernote should have a feature for it!!
