Canvas opens in a separate window, allowing you and ChatGPT to collaborate on a project. This early beta introduces a new way of working together—not just through conversation, but by creating and refining ideas side by side.

Super slick. One of those "why doesn't this already exist" moments for sure.

It's a new level of opportunities!
This change will significantly improve the work with ChatGPT, as it is now much easier and faster to use. For programmers, this is a really great improvement that makes it easier to complete tasks.
It is really impressive and I am very satisfied after using it.

Finally, artifacts on ChatGPT! (canvas... canvases?) 🎨
It's just simple UI handling and a bit of prompt engineering, but it's really useful, and a nice experience bump. If you're curious about the prompt or details I can share below.
Honestly, once I started using Cursos, artifacts are the last thing keeping me on my Claude subscription, as the API seems to work better without all their pre-prompting, and their message limits are waaay too restrictive.
So I was ready to drop Claude Pro, that was going to be it, time to switch back!
But then I got to test Canvas. And I'm not convinced. It has a bunch of nice utilities, like quick edits and partial edits (this is probably the best part). But rendering doesn't work very well (hasn't for me at all yet)
Looking forward to checking it as it progresses, which I'm confident it will. The UX improvement is good, but it's no breakthrough.
Congrats on the launch! This looks really slick. Love the idea of subjective computing. Any plans to expand on custom user preferences over time? Also, how will Canvas work for smaller teams or individuals, or is it mainly focused on bigger enterprises?
