Seem's like Second Life Voice, just with 3D graphics & avatars all stripped out.

Pretty much like SpatialChat, but without video. Are you guys planning to make videos? What about plans for more people?
Emily Iwankovitsch
@almasabulkhairov Thanks for the questions and feedback! Currently, we support up to 150 people per space. However, we are actively working on scaling to much, much larger crowds. It is currently possible to embed live streams from YouTube or Twitch into an audio space (check out our Knowledge Base for more info). For example, groups hosted watch parties for the recent NASA launch and hung out together while watching on YT live. As for showing videos how SpatialChat does, we’re thinking about it, so thanks for the feedback there. Adding video has pros and cons — it hinders scalability and device accessibility which we feel are important. We want as many people to use our platform as possible on as many devices as possible, even on crappy networks. Many of our early users have reported that they prefer audio to video (Zoom fatigue and whatnot), and that the rich, low-latency 3D audio creates a warm, more natural and immersive experience.

We've started using Spatial Chat just a few weeks ago, High Fidelity's concept looks very similar, it's interesting to understand the differences if any (except videos mentioned above and maybe screen sharing?). Congrats on the launch!

@igordebatur Thank you, Igor! Other than differences mentioned above in video availability, we currently support 150 people per space. Some of the cool use cases we’ve already seen are large music festivals, graduation ceremonies, listening parties for album releases, Pride celebrations, academic gatherings, summer camps, and more (we're also actively working on scaling to support much, much larger crowds). With our spatialized audio, many of our early users have reported it creates a warm, more natural and immersive experience. Happy to answer any other questions you might have! We hope you'll give it a try and let us know how it goes. Thanks again.

Tried it with our team, great experience ! Have been feeling the lack of features, but by reading previous comments I have no doubt they'll be adressed soon. Keep up the good work !

@julesbs Thanks, Jules! We'd love any and all feedback captured re: additional features in our early user feedback survey as well: https://www.highfidelity.com/kno... Thanks again.
