Instagram Stories - Share moments of your day 📸

I bet they shut this down in 9 months. Why? Because no one is going to out snapchat, Snapchat. It's like someone trying to clone a Tesla– sure you can reverse engineer everything, but by the time you finish, version-next will be an order of magnitude better.

Maybe I don't "get it", but I think the Snapchat UI/UX sucks vs. Instagram which has always felt easy and intuitive. If Stories is as easy to use I think they'll capture an audience that has either tried and left or ignored Snapchat.

I dig it, just need to see how it plays out and feels inside of Instagram, should be interesting, but what would be the use case between using Instagram vs Snapchat, both have huge audiences for creators so they'll have to pick one or the other.

I love me some video, and I'm sure this will be useful (and highly used), but I don't go to Instagram for video.

Actually I think there's been a big shift in the way people use snapchat stories in that it's becoming more "Instagrammy" - a lot more thoughtful about visuals ESPECIALLY selfies etc. It doesn't seem as snap-and-go as before, so I do wonder how Instagram stories will help with that. ALSO I'm actually excited about this because I was never able to 'migrate' my Instagram followers to snapchat. And actually, those are the people I want to see my stuff.

This is shameful. It makes zero sense for Instagram to add this and it is a blatant rip off of snapchat.

As someone who uses Instagram a ton I have to say I love this feature, no more people screenshotting notes just to post a text update. We can finally connect with our community in a casual environment within the app, I hope it stays well received!
