I'm Philips, and I built Petmatch after running into a problem that turned out to be way more common than I expected: finding a mate for a dog or cat in Nigeria basically means posting in a random Facebook group and hoping someone replies.

So I built the thing that didn't exist. Petmatch is a free, simple directory where you list your pet once, and nearby owners looking for the same thing find you and reach out directly. No agents taking a cut, no fees, no app to figure out, just a quick email sign in so you can manage your own listing later.

Good evening! My name is Tyler, and recently I have gotten tired of my ideas staying as just ideas and decided to put action behind it for the first time! I currently work as a product introduction quality engineer by day, and I plan on using this as a learning opportunity to expand my boundaries.
I have created an app to help guide people in career direction, interview prep, star question reviews, general career information, resume and cover letters, along with a career GPS model. The reason for the creation of this app is because when i was recently in job limbo, i was applying for ~50 jobs a day and i noticed a hole in the market. I wasn't sure what other careers the skills I possessed could get me, and what steps were needed to be taken to move to a different career. I have spent many nights researching, taking aptitude tests, and merging different blog posts to find my answers. This app covers all of that in one bundle. I don't mean an app, I mean the skill. I am currently sitting on a SaaS app that is ready to launch and fear has set in, so I procrastinate the launch by starting another project and immersing myself into the new project. The build phase is the fun part I suppose... but I really need to make some effort to get to the money-making phase.

I know other people have this problem, I can't be the only one. What do you think causes it? Is it fear of success? I think in my case, even a small amount of success would change my life quite dramatically. Of course, this is a good thing and absolutely necessary, but I am aware that I will be stepping outside of my comfort zone and into the unknown.

I have had a couple of startups in the past and quite a lot of learnings from each one..

1. My very first startup failed as the target audience was too small.

Hey everyone. Now that I ve admitted my insecurities in a title alone, I m Devin. To be honest, I ve never launched anything anywhere before. This is completely new to me, and I m still trying to understand how you re even supposed to do something like this. I ve spent years building RealVideoCreator, but launching it publicly feels like stepping into a world I don t really know yet.

This project is my life s work. I didn t build it because I knew how to scale a product or grow a community, I built it because I wanted something that felt real, something that made creating easier instead of harder. I ve been working on this for so long that finally sharing it is overwhelming in a way I didn t expect.
