I m Alican Ataseven, an independent developer and maker based in Istanbul. Like many of you here, I am driven by a simple but powerful philosophy: if a process feels repetitive, friction-heavy, or mathematically vague, there is a tool waiting to be built to fix it. Living in a city that literally bridges two continents, I ve always been fascinated by the idea of creating "bridges" in the digital world tools that connect users to the data and clarity they need to make better decisions.
The Philosophy Behind the Build
My journey into the world of indie hacking didn t start with a desire to build "the next big thing." It started with a desire to solve "the next small frustration." In the fast-paced world of digital work, we often find ourselves juggling dozens of subscriptions and struggling with the nuances of global collaboration. My work is focused on stripping away that noise and providing lean, high-utility solutions.
I m Elvis. I ve got a background in computer science and systems integration, and I ve always been the kind of person who wants to know what s actually going on under the hood.
Lately I ve been building for macOS, mostly around privacy and network visibility. I wasn t really happy with what s out there, so I decided to build something that felt better.
Tools like Little Snitch are powerful, but they can get overwhelming fast. You re hit with constant prompts and technical details, and most people just end up clicking allow to move on, which kind of defeats the purpose. On the other side, LuLu is simpler but can be a bit rough, with people running into things like apps hanging or network issues.
I'm a web developer from a big product company, and I have a lot of experience building and launching products inside the company.
Now I ready to launch my own app. It's about generating ideas with AI. There are already some apps like this, but my main feature is that you can choose different roles to generate ideas, for ex: a marketer, an astrologer, a toxic :) etc.

A bit about me: I'm super passionate about movies and series, but the endless scrolling on Netflix/Prime/YouTube always kills my evenings (decision fatigue is real ). That frustration inspired me to start tinkering with a side project called Cinematch[dot]cc basically an AI tool that tries to recommend stuff that truly matches the vibe/mood/tone instead of just genres. It's very early MVP (still iterating a ton, bugs likely!), and I'm learning a lot along the way. The current way you decide to trust someone before sending them $400 for a card, a watch, a GPU, a pair of sneakers, or really anything you're buying from a stranger on an online marketplace (Reddit, Facebook Marketplace, etc.) is you check their post history, see if their account is old enough, maybe Google their username, and take a shot in the dark. If you're meeting in person, you're going off vibes and whether they seemed normal over text. For most people that's good enough most of the time, but when it isn't, you're just out of luck.
