Here's the part that makes it worse: almost none of that gets caught at upload. Marketplaces validate schema required fields, image specs. They don't validate law. A missing GPSR responsible person, an unsupported health claim, a blank battery attribute all upload clean, and you find out it wasn't compliant from a suppression notice instead of from anything upstream. Then Amazon's own compliance-document review can take 15 business days with the listing already down.

Hi everyone I'm Hamid, a software engineer with a bit over a decade of experience. The last few months I've been heads-down building AEGIS: an open-source (Apache 2.0) defense-in-depth layer for LLM apps and agents prompt injection detection, policy enforcement, and tool/agent permissioning so a prompt injection can't quietly get an agent to misuse a tool.

What pulled me into this specifically: most guardrail tooling I looked at only reports how it does against a static, round-one test set, which doesn't tell you much about what happens once an attacker actually adapts. So I built an adaptive red-teaming harness alongside the defense layer itself, and published the honest result even though it wasn't flattering.

I'm Anas solo founder building RentPerk, a UK fintech that turns rent payments into rewards and credit-building for renters. Think: you pay rent, you earn points, your credit score goes up automatically. Nobody has built this in the UK yet and I've spent the last several months figuring out why and whether I can fix it.

The regulated sector problem. Building in fintech means you can't just ship. Before a single tenant pays a penny of rent through RentPerk, I needed to appoint an MLRO, draft an AML policy, register with the ICO, negotiate an EMI partnership, and get legal sign-off on Terms of Service and a Privacy Policy. I did all of it as a solo non-technical founder. Happy to share what I learned and what I'd do differently.

Hi Product hunters , nice meeting you all , my Name is Zakaria , im from Morocco , i come with a background on Programming languages where i work as an engineer on Operational Technologies , since my 20s i built many things , starting by PHPbb forum used for Counter Strike as well as renting a server for Moroccan Community to use and play counter strike 1.6 on , where later i started making websites from DAting ones to Shopping ones , i tried also Etsy as well as other known platform , i built multiple saas such as Transportation management system and Vehicules Renting system , as well as most Recently Demorta which is a platform meant for founders like me that barely have the money to create and publish stuff but no way to pay alot for showcasing my app .
only common thing about above Apps is that they didnt cross a 100 of income , but when i think back im really glad i went this way beacause i keep hope and always look forward to next thing and as usual its a learning opportunity .
