nicely done, Matcha team! i like how the analytics tie a direct ROI to content. in terms of attribution, is it only a converted sale if a reader buys the product in the same session? or maybe a 7, 14, 28 day window?

@genfurukawa Hi! Great question. Our analytics tracks the influence of a blog on an eventual sale across the full funnel. So, for each individual blog post, you'll see all the revenue that blog post has influenced during the time frame you select (whether it was a first-touch post or last-touch!) This way you can see which content overall influences the most sales, compared to other blogs--because of course, customers may read multiple posts before buying! For each individual customer, any influenced revenue that appears on a blog will "reset" between purchase (so there will be not double attribution if they become a repeat purchaser!) For the measurement of your total blog-influenced revenue, you'll see the hard sale numbers--i.e. exactly what portion of your total sales were at some point influenced by content.

Congrats on the launch! I wish the trial period was longer like 30 days. 1, because it's a learning curve of a new product and also 2, we are in a COVID situation and I think its the least y'all can do to help with new store owners who are 1 man shops.

@julia_999666 Hi! Thank you for your question. Just like with other tools (like Google Analytics for example), when you connect Matcha to your site, the Matcha app will install a tracking code on your site in order to report on your content performance and revenue attribution. This code, like the Google Analytics code, is loaded asynchronously, and thus will have no discernable effect on page load times. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
