Congrats on the launch!
It always felt odd to me that we learn with our peers until adulthood, then we're on our own for the rest of life. I hope that Maven becomes a university for life. I'm excited to see which courses you will add next!
It would be cool to see some liberal arts courses on Maven. For instance, there's a new course about the local government of New York. It's at: https://maximumnewyork.com/. Or, something similar to the 'Great Books' curriculum that was popularized by St. John's College in Annapolis: https://www.sjc.edu/application/....
Maven could be a great home for the hard sciences as well. For instance, something like the course that Steve Blank teaches at Stanford about silicon valley and the defense industry: https://steveblank.com/category/.... Or, all the things you never knew about healthcare! (https://www.outofpocket.health/)
I'm excited to see what Maven does next!
I recall keeping track of Maven from the very first Notion page that Wes and Gagan published. What an incredible journey and an awesome milestone. I haven't taken a Maven class YET but you betcha I bookmarked a whole bunch.
Can't wait to do so once we wrap up some huge 2022 initiatives.
Also, @gagan_biyani, I'll soon resume our conversation about launching a "Notion for Startups" course! We've worked with 80+ companies and have something to teach 😉
Taking CBCs is such a great idea for learning. Watching videos to learn stuff is boring but much fun together with peers and instructors. I even believe that for learning more complex stuff, there should be ways to get peers together physically for a short of period of time. Maybe Maven should think about building learning centers around the country for students to get together for a day or two. A wild idea, but anyway congratulate the Maven team on a successful launch! @gagan_biyani@weskao

Your platform look great tbh. It's more like blog where i can see highlight content with intro. One thing in my mind what's the major difference between this and Udemy apart from UI?
@varunrazora Udemy is focused on video courses, whereas Maven is focused on live courses that you take with other people. So Maven courses will have more discussions, you'll meet more people (your classmates), and you'll get to interact directly with the teacher.
