I like the idea, the cost of living should be definitely improved (this will also lead to add few more questions probably) but there is a potential for an interesting update. I see the issue with the API, but a lot of the value comes from there :)

The product itself seems to be a good idea, however I was not able to use it as It's giving me a eternal loading spinner. I tried some different cities like Sydney, Toronto, NY, LA, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and the result was the same. I used Chrome and Firefox as well. Update: After some debugging I noticed it's returning a 500 from the server and a javascript parse error. Some field might not have being properly validated. I hope it helps.
