The idea of creating an opportunity to monetize user created workflows is a brilliant differentiator! Congrats on the launch, you guys are crushing it!

Jan Heimes

@masebuilds Thank you! We really believe the people building the best workflows should be able to earn from them. We're seeing some awesome templates come in from the community. Appreciate the support!

Tewodros Seble

@oeken @jan_heimes Congrats on the launch! The unlimited document indexing is a huge differentiator. For companies that have been around for decades, managing those legacy files while keeping them relevant to new daily customers is a massive challenge. This looks like a game-changer for data continuity!

Jan Heimes

@tewodrosseble Thanks! You're spot on. That's exactly the pain we keep hearing from companies sitting on years of docs, PDFs, and internal knowledge that just collects dust. With the built-in RAG, those files actually become useful again inside your workflows. Appreciate the kind words!

Ignacio Borrell

Hey guys, congratulation on the launch!

I was wondering, can users inspect and edit the workflows the agent generates, or are they mostly managed by the system?

Jan Heimes

@ignacio_borrell Yes they can! You can either use the agent or build everything manually and configure all the details yourself. You can also check previous runs with their input and output parameters, so data lineage is fully covered.

Serge Punchev

Curious -what's the most popular workflow people are using so far? Always interesting to see what users actually do vs what you built it for.

Jan Heimes

@spunchev Great question. We do talk a lot, though with users and build the product always very much in mind with their desires. But yes, sometimes we see some interesting/surprising ideas. Often users use it very often for content scraping or creation, while we did not think, that this use case would be that popular in the beginning of building Needle. Does that answer your question?

Signe Skov Jensen

Really interesting - such a creative and fun way to allow anyone to monetize a simple, good idea. I’m curious, can anyone publish workflows, or is there a review process for this?

Jan Heimes

@signe_skov_jensen Anyone can publish and then it is reviewed by an agent together with a human. Looking forward to see your workflow submitted.

Viktor Shumylo

Turning workflows into something you can create just by describing them in plain language sounds very powerful. How does Needle ensure that AI-generated workflows remain stable?

Jan Heimes

@vik_sh Indeed. To keep AI-generated workflows stable, you can use e.g. structured output, then the Agent always returns the same output and remains stable. If the workflow has to be adjusted over time, because some of your API endpoints break you would get a notification and can ask the agent to adjust your workflow. Does that answer your question?

Nathan

Hello !

This is super exciting. Can I use for example tu automate scrapping out of placing like Linkedin, Etsy etc that are gatelocked behind an account ?

Jan Heimes

@nathan_croissant Hi there, yes you can do that. We have some examples for that, can also share more if you write our team a DM on LinkedIn or via e-mail!

Arthur Z.

Hey! Quick question, what is the chat logic to make sure the workflows aren't misinterpreted?

Jan Heimes

@arthur_z_1 Think of it like vibe coding for workflows. The more clearly you describe your goal or problem, the better the output. The agent breaks it down into small steps, tests each one, and iterates until it's confident the workflow matches what you're trying to do.

The marketplace angle is genuinely novel — most automation tools focus on building but not on monetizing what you build. The "describe it, watch it build" approach lowers the barrier massively for non-technical makers. Quick question: for the Partner Program, is there a review/approval step before a workflow goes live on the marketplace, or is it open submission? Curious how you maintain quality as the catalog grows. Congrats on the launch!

Jan Heimes

@koichibass1224 Thanks, really appreciate that!

Great question. Yes, there's a review step. When a partner submits a workflow, our team reviews it before it goes live on the marketplace. We check that it actually works reliably, the documentation is clear, and it delivers real value. We want to keep quality high from day one rather than flooding the catalog with half-baked templates.

If you're interested in becoming a partner, check out needle.app/partners. We're personally reviewing every submission right now.

koichi

@jan_heimes  Thanks for the detailed explanation! The review process makes total sense — quality over quantity is the right call. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Will definitely check out the partner page!

Ben Heckmann

Looks really nice! When you use other people’s workflows, does it cost anything extra to use other people’s workflows vs building your own?

Jan Heimes

@ben_heckmann No for the end user, it does not cost anything extra.
