Olympian Motors (YC W22) - Creating electric James-Bond vehicles

by
Olympian Motors is a new, disruptive automaker, creating new "experience-first" Electric Vehicles.
We're building the most aesthetic & minimalistic EVs of the 21st century, prioritizing aesthetics over horsepower, UX over torque and quality over quantity.

Thank you Olympian Motors! This is what I have been craving for for years! Modern car design is so dull. We nailed it with cars from days past. This seems to use “that” to create what potentially could be extraordinary!

Congratulations on the launch, in my view, the design is interesting, but I have some concerns: - 3D renders are not enough for a deposit. - Spoked wheels are a bold design statement, but I reckon they will be an inconvenience. - It's not clear how security will be handled. Looking at the rendering, there's not much space or consideration for security regulations, or even for the claims on the website. For that, I believe that the design will still change considerably. - Car looks small, and with few amenities, for the price range. Although the design is interesting, I'm not totally convinced, I believe that an "interpretation" of the style would work better (Maybach Vision 6, kind of thing?). Together with the status of batteries and micro-conductors in the world, I believe that we're going to wait awhile until this project sees the light of day. I don't mean to be negative, by any means, and I sincerely hope the project leads prove me wrong. I for one, would like to have more projects based on "elegance", like this one. This is just what I get from what I saw.

Great idea, but I would start with a conversion kit using a Model 3 as a base. It would be much easier for you and probably less expensive for the customer, knowing that there is Tesla tech underneath instead of some unproven startup. Even Tesla converted a Lotus, you could do the opposite (keep the tech but change the chassis and interiors).

Are these NFTS?

Love the concept and the audacity :) Guys, do you have a background in the automobile industry or do you come from other engineering sectors? It would be nice to learn more about what led you to this project :)

Very classy though maybe a bit too old fashioned. Not sure for which target group it is made but without infotainment it might be a niche product.

Hi Bill Ward here, my girlfriend <-- Amber just brought your product to my attention and I am interested in being a part o your design team. I am a creator, inventor, designer and most importantly an Artist (Naja Cobra) I would like to discuss a few ideas I have with your executive panel concerning a partnership of sort. Looks like a scam. 100k for what? Badly rendered video (Shaking camera? was it made on fiverr?) and pictures? Bad UX of the website? Lack of safety (wooden cockpit, imagine what will happen if there would be car-crash)
