Amazing job. Just wondering how often is the data updated. Are we looking at this year or last years crops?
Veronika Lindorenko
Hi @rmagrino! Thanks for appreciating our hard work ๐Ÿ˜ƒ The data presented on the map includes 2016-2018 years.

Looks awesome, keep up the good work!

Hi @alexstaravoit! Thanks for your nice words! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I like how it works. You can see all fields around your place. You even can compare it in live. I like that I can see new beautiful fields over the world.

Pros:

It should be useful for farmers. This is so good for using it as background on laptops, mobiles.

Cons:

You should add leaderboard for fields

Veronika Lindorenko
Hey @igor_morozov! That's a good business case for us. Our team's already started using the screens of beautiful maps as our laptop backgrounds. The leaderboard is also a great idea! Thanks! Seeing how beautiful fields are around you makes us feel happier ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great Product. Great Team. Great Idea to provide valuable data for free to farmers. Great Dream to help to protect the environment by bringing AI into fertilization practice. I am proud to be a tiny part of this dream. Will do my best to help it to come true!
Veronika Lindorenko
Hi @leonidlozner , Thanks a lot for so many nice words both about the team and our new product. Yeah, we wanted to demonstrate the way our machine learning technologies help farmers all over the world and the best way to do it is this map. Everything we do for farmers is free. In our opinion, bringing AI into fertilization practice will help farmers to save their money and also protect the environment from a global ecological crisis. In our blog, you can read more about our apps that calculate NPK fertilization rates by zones: https://blog.onesoil.ai/en/oneso... and https://blog.onesoil.ai/en/how-o...

I have been following the project for a long time and this year they are releasing just amazing things almost every month. Novelty with a map of crops is great! It is a great technological and excellent design solution.

By the way, be sure to click "Random beautiful fields"

Pros:

Design, globalism, technology

Cons:

Not available for some countries

Pedro Gutierrez
great product, congratulations guys. How can I help you to grow this in South America? I am from Paraguay, and we would love to have this here, and in Argentina/Brazil, and other countries which are still focused on farming. thanks.
Alexander Kalinovsky
@soyparaguayo1 Hello Pedro! Right now OneSoil platform is only available in Europe and the US, but we're planning to become global in the next 2 years. Are you a farmer yourself?

Pros:

beautiful map, beautiful UI

Cons:

outdated photos from google maps

Veronika Lindorenko
Hi @pavel_homal Thanks for your feedback! @ivan_uvarov worked hard to create such a beautiful UI. Where did you find outdated Google Maps photos? Are we discussing our map (https://map.onesoil.ai) or our web app (https://app.onesoil.ai)?

Pros:

it is ok

Cons:

I really love the idea of using AI to empower agriculture: keep it up!

Pros:

Easy-to-navigate, easy to visualy make sense of the data - love it

Cons:

license attribution is unclear - not sure how I can use this data withot violating OneSoil IP rights

Very clever PH thumbnail! As for the product, I can see it's not 100% accurate (judging from the fields around my hometown). But nonetheless very fun to play with! Great presentation!
Alexander Kalinovsky
@paul_danyliuk Hi Paul! Thanks for liking the map, totally agree that it's fun to play with :) Could you send us the locations of the incorrectly identified fields and the information you know about them? Either here, on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/onesoil...) or email hello@onesoil.ai. Thanks a lot!
Paul Danyliuk
@onesoil @alexanderkalinovsky I'm not that qualified, but e.g. I'm almost sure the round fields in Kherson oblast, Ukraine, are watermelons, not beetroot or something. That's totally understandable though. I don't expect ML to know and tell apart all the crops.
Veronika Lindorenko
@paul_danyliuk thanks for providing this kind of information. We'll check these fields and fix the detected crops. If you find any other issues, please write us at care@onesoil.ai. Yeah, the machine algorithm is still learning so the accuracy will improve overtime. Right now our recognition accuracy is 0.9.
