I remember telling a friend who works in product about Pastel, and one of the first questions he had was around if image mockups were supported (as opposed to just websites/webpages). Super exciting that this is now part of the product!

@donnyouyang Thanks Donny!

I feel it is too expensive for start-ups

Very nice! I love that simplicity! The only thing is that lots of similar tools have a free-forever account. Do you think it's not a good idea? I think it will better to put under ssl all the platform :)
Valentin Staykov
@nicolo_magnanini Thanks Nick! It's something we've thought about but still trying to figure out the best way to make a useful free account. And ssl on canvases is something we'll be adding in the near future :)

I've been using Pastel for all my web projects and it's saved me hours of time!

Pros:

One place for all feedback - goodbye InVision.

Cons:

Not a con, but would love to see version history in the future.

Our team has been using Pastel for almost a year now. We even had the pleasure of meeting the crew in-person a few months ago! It's clear as day how serious they are about making Pastel into a highly usable, empowering tool for digital creatives and devs alike. Excited to see what comes next!

Pros:

Loving the new feature that facilitates feedback for imagery! As easy and intuitive to use as the OG canvases.

Cons:

Would love to see fleshed-out metadata and perhaps even version history for said new feature!

It's really awesome. I can see the hard work behind it. I was having the same idea and was working on it. And you guys did it so fluently. This looks awesome.

@actuallyakash Thanks Akash!

What's the difference between Pastel and Invision?
Valentin Staykov
@giangngha2911 Hi Giang, great question! Pastel can be used on coded websites in the browser, so you're able to get feedback tied to specific elements on the site rather than just static designs.

Our team has been using this for a website redesign and it saved hours going back and forth in terms of the feedback cycle.

Pros:

Really intuitive and huge upgrade over the product we were using previously (invision).

Cons:

Great so far!

Ariel
Cool, looks promising, but I miss free version. This is what works the best for me.
Valentin Staykov
@ariel_jedrzejczak Hi Ariel, that's definitely something we've thought about before. Would you like me to let you know whenever we have any updates on that front?
Ariel
@vstaykov Sure, that would be great.
Valentin Staykov
@ariel_jedrzejczak Sounds good! Will let you know once we have more info on that :)
Daniel Montero
Looks great. a free version is a must, to really test in a real project!
Valentin Staykov
@daniel_montero Hi Daniel, makes sense! We're looking at the best way to make that work - I can keep you updated on that if you'd like
