Perfect Recall 2.0 - Transcribe and share clips from your Zoom calls for free

Hey there Product Hunt! We’re so excited to be sharing Perfect Recall 2.0. We’ve been grinding away for the past 6 months after our first launch and completely revamped everything. After our initial launch, we talked to 100+ users to learn deeply about why people use Perfect Recall and how to make the experience better. These are the 3 main things we discovered: 1️⃣ Existing recording/transcription tools are too slow. You either have to either wait 30+ minutes for transcription to finish, or use a tool like Otter which doesn’t record video. 2️⃣ People want to record meetings where they aren’t the host. Existing tools restrict this, so people have developed complicated workflows like playing a call out loud on their laptop and holding their phone up to the speakers. 3️⃣ The setup should be seamless. Recording and transcribing a Zoom call shouldn’t need you to install a bulky desktop app or even a Zoom app where you have to request administrator approval and wait for days. This is what we did: We moved from a desktop app to a web-app, so no more download or setup required. Set the meetings you want recorded and our bot will join automatically and deliver you a link to a notepad via private Zoom chat. Watch transcription appear and take time-stamped notes. After the call ends, your video recording and transcription is immediately available and ready to share. No wait time at all. Existing features, such as highlighting the transcript to make a video clip, now work in real-time. Highlight the live transcript that appears on your notepad during the Zoom call to make a clip of just that section. Record any meeting, even if you’re not the host. The best part? Perfect Recall is now free to use! 🤩

Congrats on launch! Love PR, have been using for over 6 months now and it only keeps getting better :) It's gotten so smooth and seamless with the right control over settings too! Highly recommend it to anyone, and I keep spreading the good word to everyone in my co :)

woah very impressive. Reminds me of grain.co, but as their helpful support person pointed out, there are a couple of noticeable differences, namely: 1. live transcription and ability to make highlights as the call is happening 2. Ability to record meeting that aren't your own 3. No Zoom app for easy setup (usually you can't install a Zoom app in an org without admin permissions) In some cases, I can see people being a bit spooked out by having a bot join a call, but in that case one can always upload the call afterwards I guess.

Love how Perfect Recall streamlined my Zoom calls. Transcribing the call + easily snipping clips/product feedback by just highlighting the text is a gamechanger. It makes sharing feedback/insights super easy
