Everyone I talked to said the exact same thing. That's when I knew we had something.
I started going to startup events a few months ago, and I kept asking founders the same question: "Are you active on LinkedIn?"
Almost everyone said no.
Then I'd ask: "Do you think you should be?"
Almost everyone said yes.
The gap between knowing and doing was massive.
They'd tell me things like "I know I should post, I just never do" or "I open LinkedIn, stare at it, and close the tab." When I'd dig deeper, it wasn't really about time, but about not knowing what to say, or opening a blank screen and completely freezing, or using ChatGPT and ending up sounding exactly like everyone else.
After hearing this from 20+ people, I realized this wasn't just a few founders struggling, but more like... a real pattern.
People know their personal brand matters, they know LinkedIn can help with credibility and distribution and hiring, but something was stopping them from actually posting.
That's when we decided to build PostGod - basically a tool to help people get past that blank screen problem without sounding like generic AI.
Question for other builders: How many times did you need to hear the same problem before you knew it was worth solving? Was there a specific moment when it clicked, or just a gradual buildup?
