I've generated dozens of virtual cards - some limited to a small $$/mo and others are one-time use only. Everyone one of them is tied to a particular vendor so if stolen I'm well protected
Pros:What they offer - virtual credit card numbers w/ strong boundaries
Cons:An extra step to make purchases - harder so on mobile but not as much on desktops
Don't waste your time with this 'service'. Its shoddy at best, and after they took my sensitive info, nothing worked. I was repeatedly asked to contact support - I didn't type anything incorrectly, their system just doesn't work. If they can't figure out how to connect a simple bank account, how can they be expected to protect my bank account information? That is the question.
Pros:Supposedly offers free 'burner' cards
Cons:Doesn't work after taking my sensitive information
Did 1 free trial on my Privacy account but generated cards for purchases at a few merchants over the past 4 months or so. I was told I was flagged for too many trials but since I only used it once for Netflix I will assume you are not supposed to generate a card for every purchase. I am leery to use again since I’d assume you could not get refunds on purchases if they close your account. But do be careful and don’t use burner cards at the same merchants. It kinda stinks if you’ve been hit by a charge from a merchant that you didn’t expect before, was higher than invoiced, or anything like that, since you can’t use a burner card with unreliable merchants you purchase from more than once without being flagged.
Pros:Seems like you can generate a card for every online purchase. Appreciated not having to get my debit card on every site I shop at.
Cons:Apparently generating a new card for every purchase is considered enough to get flagged as fraud.
