Meta is getting into AI agents too !

Meta just launched Muse, its personal AI agent. AI agents have been everywhere lately, so seeing Meta enter the space was probably just a matter of time. But Meta has one huge advantage: distribution.

WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook… they already have billions of users.

Do you think Meta can become a serious player in AI agents?

Of course they will. Distribution gives Meta a huge head start, but trust will be the real moat.

Do you think people will actually trust an agent to handle tasks across their Meta apps?

Honestly my non tech friends dont even know what an AI agent is but they will definitely use Muse if it pops up in their whstsapp chats.

we tried testing custom AI agents for our workflow last month and context switching was the biggest pain point. having it right inside daily messaging apps solves that completely.

the distribution argument has already been run once though. meta ai has been sitting inside whatsapp for a billion people for over a year and it did not become anyone's default assistant, so reach was never the missing input.
