Very nice!!! Discount at the moment is brilliant, but the full price is expensive! Although, the real question is how intuitive is the pencil? As that would be the key if it is realistic or not... Having used an apple stylus sorry pencil ;) it would be great to understand the differences....and as @Leo mentioned with the integrations as well would be great!

The price point is the killer. Reduce the price to around 199 (with pencil) and you have a winner.

So, I'm impressed with the innovation aspect of this product - ABSOLUTELY!! But $ 429 [Pre-Order at 40% off] or $ 608 [reMarkable device + Stylus] really because who is going to use it without their stylus... [and then there's a maybe i'll spend $ 79 for their protective cover] is *definitely* a buzz kill ... But I suspect there is still a market for that - I mean look at how many overpriced products people still buy... However, am I the only one to consider it's weight a disappointment? 350g [.77 lbs] may not seem like a whole lot but an iPad Air 2 is only 437g [.96lbs] For me, they are missing too much here to hit close to bulls-eye... I hope it does well but I suspect there will have to be a reMarkable 2: < 250g, and $ 299.00 [max] price tag and thinner... Best of luck but keep innovating!

Very impressive. Wonder how amazon missed making this. Kindle + tablet, whoa!

The value prop works for those who strongly prefer a paper or paper-like writing experience and don't want to/can't manage paper. Being able to find notes from yesterday and last week at a moment's notice is similar -- and priceless to someone like me who writes constantly and files only every other year (if bribed). Price and value aren't equal... that said, have I placed an order? No. Did I drop some big hints? You bet I did. :)

I just bought one. Here's why. I love paper. Seriously love paper. It means I can take notes in meetings without hiding behind a screen, keeping my notepad in my lap. I can pull out my notebook and a pen and immediately start writing. I can organise thoughts in 2 dimensions and somehow my mind remembers where on the page I wrote it down. I bought it because if I can genuinely use this like I can paper, it will be amazing. I love the no email, no SMS, no Netflix. Nice ad too. If I end up not using it, I'll return it. Cool? (Though I really want to use it - I go through a notepad in 2-3 weeks and I like the expensive ones... this will save me money!)

Saw the video, was completely sold... But I couldn't find the pre-order button (except above the fold, and I was waay below the page) Another dose of shock when I realized its as costly as an entry level notebook, I could add a few bucks and get a laptop for that price! And the specs of laptop is low, either the profit margins is too high, or the display technology is waay to costly. Wishing you best of luck and get good traction, so that your competition makes the tech affordable. I see myself using this two to three years down the line when price point is like 100 something USD, or I could just get a wacom plus a laptop or 'Phree' pen. Though I get that the display tablets/laptops use are now years old and have undergone much research to get it at a very low price point, in my opinion I dont see myself getting a paper display at such a cost

Cool product but really too expensive. Something between 150 and 200 $ is a fair price

I am so excited for this. Next up, a 27 inch e-ink monitor.
