Wow, love it. Converting handwriting to text and search functionality would seal the deal for me - have always wanted to search through my notebook!

I though hmm why, but after thinking about it, really nice. The new Moleskin? For many, I think so. (Does it have a browser, for extracting text from web sites and such, like kindle silk. Since this is presented as a work device rather than small reading device, browser would be good.)

I saw the ad for this on FB and was really drawn to it, but as others have said, the price is an issue.

This looks like a remarkable product and I'd probably buy it - but without any discount and only after I read some excitingly positive user reviews. There's always a difference between a promo video and an actual product. And for a price like that you want to make sure you'll have a perfect product in your bag for next 3-5 years and it will not become another useless Kickstarter gimmick on your shelf. And yes, Evernote integration is vital for such kind of product.

What do I do with my kindle now :)

"...and a desk that looks like this.." haven't seen a more perfectly organized desk in years

I really REALLY want this, as I'm quite tired of having documents and notebooks scrambled everywhere on my desk. But man, that price! This would easily be a hit if it was anywhere between $129-$199.

Looks awesome until that price got up and smacked me in the face - OUCH!

I've preordered mine. I really, really like the idea of having a focused digital device that doesn't have the connectivity that an iPad would have. No distractions while reading or drawing. I plan on integrating this into my Evernote workflow so that I can search my notes and drawings. I don't want to dig through 10 years of moleskin notebooks trying to find that one note from that one day years ago that I can't remember.

Here's what's missing: Evernote integration, Kindle app (should be possible if this was running a version of Android I would think), solar panel on the back so you never have to charge it. Those would justify the cost—without, it's a glorified etch-e-sketch.
