remio 2.0 - Captures your work to build a searchable knowledge base

remio 2.0 is designed to free you from being a manual data porter for AI. By syncing your full context, it builds a zero-effort Second Brain that understands your work as well as you do.

Great to see such a wide variety of data sources supported at launch. You’ve covered basically every way I generate or consume information.

The project context feature is a massive productivity booster for my daily workflow. It summarizes everything relevant so I can jump straight into the actual work.

Seamlessly connecting my digital life and local files is a huge milestone. One-stop shop for all my scattered information—well done, Andrew!

Andrew Wang

@seaniezhao Appreciate it — that “one-stop shop” feeling is the goal. We’re building remio so your scattered info becomes instantly usable (without extra setup).

Congrats on the launch! 🚀I’m so tired of remembering where something was. This sure helps.

Quick question: when my stuff changes a lot (like new messages or updated docs), does remio keep up automatically or do I need to refresh things myself?

Killer stuff y’all congrats.
Andrew Wang

@thekidsprinkles Thank you!! Really appreciate the support

The “copy-pasting context to get a decent answer” problem is painfully real. Most second-brain tools promise organization, but the real friction is recall when you actually need something.

Curious where users feel the biggest behavior shift with remio. Do they stop searching entirely and just ask, or does it start as a fallback when traditional search fails?

Andrew Wang

@shreya_chaurasia19 Users of remio use ask much often than search, for ask is a much more powerful search.

When someone already has Notion/Obsidian + ChatGPT (or a tool like NotebookLM/Rewind-style memory), what’s the clearest situation where remio gives a meaningfully better outcome?
Andrew Wang

@curiouskitty Thank you for your comments. This is the heart of why we built remio. If you already have Notion/Obsidian + ChatGPT, the 'meaningfully better outcome' happens in these three specific friction points:

  1. Zero-Labor Indexing vs. Manual Work: Notion and Obsidian require you to 'know' what’s important and manually move/save it. remio’s Auto-Save and Folder Sync capture your web browsing, local docs, and Slack threads (Mac) without a single click. The outcome? You never lose a thread because you were 'too busy to save it.'

  2. Context Without Copy-Pasting: While ChatGPT/NotebookLM are great, you have to manually feed them context. In remio, the Ask feature already 'knows' your entire history. You skip the 'copy-paste the last 3 emails and 2 PDFs' tax and go straight to: 'What did the client say about pricing in our last three meetings across Slack and email?'

  3. Local-first ownership (lower cost + less vendor lock-in): A lot of “memory” tools end up expensive as your data grows (storage, ingestion, per-minute/per-token usage) — and they can quietly lock you into their cloud and formats over time. remio is local-first by design, so your knowledge stays on your machine and under your control. You can build a long-term personal encyclopedia without worrying that costs scale linearly with your life — or that you’re forced into one vendor’s infrastructure to keep access to your own data.

The Twitter/X thread saving feature is a great touch for research and curation. It captures the full thread without any messy formatting issues.

It’s like having a personal ChatGPT that has actually read all my private documents. The tailored answers are much more useful than generic AI responses.

Shake Lyu

@lisa_helicopter_l Thanks so much for the kind words! That’s exactly what we’re aiming for, an AI assistant that can securely understand your own documents and give answers that are actually relevant to you, not generic. If there’s any workflow you’d like to make faster, tell us what you’re working on and we’ll help you get even more out of it.

Harlan Young

It provides uniquely accurate insights based on my specific project history. It’s the most personalized AI experience I’ve ever had.

Shake Lyu

@harlan_at_timedomain I'm really glad it’s delivering that level of accuracy and personalization for your project. We designed it specifically to learn from your unique context so the insights stay relevant and actionable. If there’s a particular workflow or decision it’s helped with, I’d love to hear your feedback helps us make it even better.
