Congrats guys, so great to see how far Remotely has come. Proud to be working with you.
We have one remote worker in the Philippines and the rest of the team are based here in New Zealand. I think they sometimes feel left out, so this could be a great way to have us all together.
@ricadw Hi Richard, thanks for reaching out to ask this question. This is a perfect example of what we solving for. We'd really like to provide a platform for remote team members to feel like part of the team. Although there might be a time difference, times that do align would be perfect to better engage with this team member and get to know them better. Please try Remotely out and let us know what your Philippines based teammate thinks of the platform.
@ricadw Then you have the perfect situation for setting up remote work activities and games. It's the best way for you and your team to engage without meeting in person.
@ricadw That's right, you can all just walk up to each other as avatar's and be "present".

I can see this being a great way to bond with remote teamsโespecially new ones. I do contract work for game companies and web3 companies, and I can see this being a great place to break the ice. The existing games are cool, but curious to know what's in store for future game releases?
@jerome_kelsey Thanks Jerome! We're currently in the works for two new games by the end of the year, with many more heading into production early next year. Giving teams plenty of weekly variety in their choice of games to play and get to know their team mates.
@jerome_kelsey thank you for your interest Jerome. Yes, it's important for newly formed remote teams to break the ice early and form good working synergy. We've found that a weekly routine of stand ups followed by a Friday afternoon team game is a great way to form team comradery. Ahhhh, we have some great original games in store. The Development team is currently working on two new original games. You might find a tease for one of these upcoming games in the 'Games' zone. This may or may not evolve some 'frustrated avian's' ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐
@jerome_kelsey Thanks Jerome, glad you are excited about what we are building. The next Game release is a very special-yet to be announced, collaboration with a Global studio. We wanted to show that the creative content options are endless in a platform like Remotely, and we partnered up with a global brand with millions of monthly players. We are also going to give creators the tools to build their own Games-so watch this space :)

I've used Remotely with a few different teams, and my colleagues love it, especially Gnomes & Moles (Forest Feud). It works especially well with teams who struggle with small talk and unstructured social events.
@alisha_newton_rudhru Hi Alisha, great to hear from you. Yes, I think we've seen your team posting some good scores in Forest Feud! We're glad that it helps you break the ice and connect. Thanks for your feedback Alisha. ๐
@hear_me_roar_kids Ah well spotted. Yes, this is to create moments of delight. There are a number of objects that affect the avatar differently. See what else you can find in the Hub!
@ds_fam Hi Darshi, this is an excellent question. We have servers all over the world, as long as you have a strong internet connection and your using a PC or Laptop you should have a stable connection. If you are considering inviting friends from overseas and run into any trouble, please let us know our tech team are on Discord and can look into any connection issues you might encounter.
@pixel_liszt thanks for your interest in our launch!
Remotely is best suited for remote working teams in Tech, SaaS and Health, working in Human Resources and Team management roles.
The feedback we have so far from high performing teams is that Remotely, allows them to easily and repeatedly get together, and have fun in a risk free environment.
Sometimes when the work you do is very serious/ stressful, breaking the ice with a game can be just what the doctor ordered. A happy team is a stable team.
@pixel_liszt in regards to team size, our current games are designed for 4-12 players. But this being said, it is possible to split groups into multiple games and mix n' match groups. We find that the best bonding tends to happen with smaller groups when played regularly, say at least 20 mins a week of structured social play.
@simplyalritch thanks for the comment. Everything we've learnt so far about the platform points to yes. Playing a game is a nice informal way to connect with someone. It helps to break the ice and make them feel a bit more relaxed. The whole recruitment and onboarding process can be stressful for new staff members. Especially if they are working remote. So why not mix it up and encourage a bit of fun.
@simplyalritch Playing games is a great way to really get to know someone. Breaks the ice easily and gives a safe medium by which to get to know someone through a fun, shared experience.
