What's "military-grade encryption"? Also the learn more link leads to a login-page. Is this intended?

@bogomep Every file is encrypted with AES256-CBC algorithm in the system and also encrypted again at rest on our Storage provider's side. This ensures important documents are safe and secure in Roamcalm.

@bogomep the key is generated and maintained inside the production server. The key for encrypting at rest the already encrypted file from Roamcalm is on the Storage provider's side.
Congrats on the launch @shrihari_prakash 🚀 I love the offline mode feature ❤️ Internet access may be unexpectedly unavailable when traveling to new places. How good is Roamcalm at recommending relatively unknown places? I'm asking because some people prefer quiet places that aren't crowded 🙂

@jgani Thanks a lot for this!! Offline first and keeping all your trip files at fingertips was always our priority! About the recommendations, Roamcalm is currently more of a utility focused app, and I am very very careful on what features I add to this. There are no recommendations as such since the app is focused on planning, saving documents and splitting expenses (basically we built only things that will be super helpful in your actual travel itself, so you have a single place for all your travel stuff without switching multiple apps). But with that said, recommendations are something we are still ideating and if we find an experience that is clean and does not feel like a bloatware, we would release this soon!

Love to see this! I've always used Google Sheets to manage my holidays but this looks much more robust. Have you considered routing integrations? Similar to Rome2Rio functionality for ways you can get from City A to City B

@daniel_mellish This is exactly what we wanted to do! Replace the google sheets, the drive folder you create for every travel and splitwise :). The routing functionality sounds pretty interesting to me! This is something I want to definitely consider adding. Right now, Roamcalm is more of a utility focused app. We are ideating on the smart features and will be implementing them soon!

@barbora_plasovska the app does not have a pricing right now, and we also don’t plan on adding it for the next few months! This is the reason everyone gets 6 months right when signing up. But post that, it would be a small yearly fee.

@william_jin Roamcalm offers a full-fledged itinerary creator, allowing you to add stuff like transportations, hotels and activities. You can save everything from locations to phone numbers to booking files! And you can take all of this information offline!
