I've been using this for a few months and love it. I use Loom a lot, it's fine for quick and short videos. But often I need videos to look better, could be a tutorial for a client, could be YouTube tutorials which I do a lot of. And ScreenStudio is great at this. Sometimes I record, edit, and send all from ScreenStudio. For our companies YouTube tutorials, there is post-production done in Final Cut. However I still record with ScreenStudio because you can record your screen, microphone, and webcam all at once. A lot of apps won't do this, even OBS AFAIK. Then I send the ScreenStudio project file to our video editor and he can extract screen, mic, and webcam separately. An amazing Mac app.

@dawid_wilewski Great question! The ease of getting the video uploaded almost immediately with a shareable link. I believe ScreenStudio does this now, I just haven't played around with it yet but I will! My main wishlist item for now is the ability to record a new video into an existing project, sometimes I need to add something to a tutorial and currently I've to start a 2nd project to do that.

@ruairimcn This is something I'll personally push the team to deliver :D I agree that masking sensitive data, team architecture, and the goddamn pause button are must-haves for 2025 :D

I've used this weekly for 1-1.5 years and it significantly outweighs any other product in the space (Vimeo, Loom, etc) Screenstudio has become my #1 screen recording tool and is PERFECT for demos. 10/10 you guys are awesome, excited for the new version

@dawid_wilewski Hey David! I've been using v3 a lot and have found myself no longer using Vimeo or Loom (which have both been super buggy for me lately) and shifting towards sending those sendable links (HUGE upgrade compared to having to download everything)

The only thing I either don't think exists yet but should OR I just don't know where it is as a user is the ability to navigate to all my shared links. I just closed all my tabs and lost a couple and now I'm unsure of how to retrieve them.


I love the push towards continuing to make the app lighter and lighter in terms of overall usage, and I think that continuing to offer web-based products would make you guys the obvious selection in comparison to long-time giants in the space.

@pie6k Congrats on the launch! Screen Studio looks super polished. How would you say it compares to Loom in terms of workflow and ease of use? I’ve used Loom for quick recordings, but sometimes it feels a bit clunky for more polished content. Does Screen Studio handle editing more smoothly, or is it more focused on high-quality raw recordings?
