@bleistern kudos for being "brave" enough to live without Kickstarter in 2016.
I hope the open API allows direct-to-device communication. My sad Little Printer sits on a shelf, without BERG to keep it running, and makes me loathe to invest in more devices that depend on cloud services beyond what's necessary.
@gerwitz@bleistern Hi Hans! At launch all communications will be handled through the cloud. I wouldn't rule out direct to device communications just yet though, definitely something we'll look into!

Really like the idea and looked at something similar instead of a possible smart mirror test recently. Shame it is a year out.

This looks cool, I've been looking for something to make a "smart" bathroom mirror. But its a little too far out for me to pre-order. I'll have to remember about this further down the line.
@ejameswill thanks Erwin! Feel free to sign up for updates on our page. We keep them infrequent (one every few weeks) so you can keep informed andkeep up with your inbox!

The video to me looks like a rendering @bleistern can you confirm that you have a functioning prototype?
@tsheeeep yes! I can confirm that we have a working prototype which is based off of existing Android ereader hardware, with totally custom software. We will be posting some interesting things on social in the next few days, showing the development process 😄

Very nice :) I already want this thing. Good luck guys!
This is the promise of the next wave of designed experiences, where our world is augmented by computing, rather than needing a computer on your person or from a tablet/computer.
I feel there was a missed opportunity to say "Get a SeeNote for C-note if you pre-order". I'm offering this pun to you free of charge to re-use at your leisure.
I appreciate the concept here, it seems like a great antidote to the idea of smart appliances or hubs... which to me always seemed superfluous to the idea of a few upgradeable devices. The SeeNote is to a "smart" appliance what a Roku is to a "smart" TV.
@johannbenedikt Thanks for the freebie, Jóhann. We thought about it, but decided to let the reader see the pun on his/her own. Happy to hear you appreciate SeeNote and its place in this growing, connected world of devices!
Super cool tech, but not sure how this can compete with those who use their tablet in the same way or simply looking at my smart phone device or are happy with simply using sticky notes.
