You Need A Cash Plan

by

I created You Need A Cash Plan for the simple reason that I find budgeting to be a lot of work for very little benefit.

It took me about 25 years to get the software right because along the way I was figuring out how household finances work. Nobody has ever done that because budgeting has been the default for over 100 years. It's always been a case of "do a budget" or be considered a failure with money. That's no longer true.

You Need A Cash Plan is the only cash flow alternative to traditional budgeting on the planet. Instead of focusing on categories and past spending, it helps you see your money over the next 12 months so you can make better decisions today. The idea is simple: your money is already flowing through a system, and when you can see that system clearly, managing your money for today and your future becomes exceptionally intuitive.

After completing You Need A Cash Plan I wrote "Get Real With Your Money: Your money is personal. How it flows is universal." to help people put budgeting aside and engage with a new standard that literally works for everyone with an income regardless of how large that income may be.

You Need A Cash Plan packs all of the features needed to successfully manage household finances. The software is ideal for:

  • Adults seeking a money management tool

  • Young adults learning to manage income

  • Students first learning about money

  • Teachers needing resources for financial literacy classes

  • Families dealing with cash-flow stress, debt, or irregular income

  • Retirees looking for a clear way to manage their retirement income

  • People frustrated with traditional budgeting approaches

  • Financial advisors, planners, and coaches

  • Engaged couples interested in planning their soon to be combined finances

I’m a solo founder and would love to learn from this community. After completing the software and writing the book, my current focus, like others on this forum, is getting people to engage. It's particularly difficult when the topic is something few are willing to talk about. Getting past the lack of knowledge, plus the guilt and fear people harbor about money is the challenge.

I'm open to comments and suggestions.
