As iOS devices (sadly) count against the device limit does this mean I won't be able to use Ulysses on my iMac, MacBook, iPad and iPhone anymore without upgrading to more than 2 seats? That would be a real downer for anyone using Ulysses on all their devices already :( Update: I found the answer in your FAQ and it's: yes, for Ulysses user who used to be able to use Ulysses on 2 Macs and multiple iOS devices won't be able to do so anymore without paying an additional seat for each iOS device :(

@klickreflex This is a GIANT issue. A per account cost to use across all devices would be much better, even if the price was a bit higher. Using apps across multiple devices is a significant part of the value in apps like Ulysses and 2Do. Maybe two options: Option 1 - flat membership fee 1 device included and additional devices at the monthly rate. Option 2 - Higher flat fee, unlimited devices only to be used under your account ID. This could also apply to Family plans and Biz Teams as well.

This was free before, but now it’ll cost an extra device for so few iPhone apps? I’ve been and will continue to be a happy SetApp user, but this likely means I will lose access to the one or two iOS apps I was using as it isn’t close to the cost of a device. Hopefully more apps get added and this begins working with then family plan or gets cheaper. Good luck.

@chase_ats Thanks for your feedback! Some developers allowed the use of iOS apps to Setapp subscribers previously, but the practice was not universal and the process for gaining access varied. The new process standardizes everything and also importantly allows developers to get revenue based on usage of their iOS app within Setapp, just like they do for macOS apps. We believe this will help promote further development of those apps and provide a better experience in the long run. We have big plans for iOS on Setapp. Just like we've been continually expanding the collection of macOS apps, we'll be building out iOS offerings as well. Also please feel free to send us feedback at support@setapp.com. We'd love to hear about how satisfied you are with the value you're getting from Setapp vs. the cost for devices.

Definitely great if we get Popular iOS first apps on board which is killing us with their subscription pricing. Secondly when you have more iOS apps on board, would like to see iOS only subscription option.

Hell yes! I've been a setapp fan and subscriber for a couple years now, stoked that y'all figured out a way to do this!

?makers not to be a pessimist, but this will be approved in the App Store until it isn't. It breaks at least two big rules of the App Store (trying to circumvent in-app purchases and creating a sort of store inside the Store). Having yearly plans, hope that you guys have a contingency plan if things go wrong (not saying the rules are fair or that this is a bad initiative, just pointing it out). Good luck with the project! :)

@setapp is one of the best choices to any mac! Highly recommend it to anyone. Sadly i stopped using just because of the price (its a fair price and its not expensive, unless you live in Brazil where 1USD is 5.45RS, like me)

Use of QR codes like this is against the App Store rules. This won’t last.

Wow! Surreal!

Not discouraging you but how did this get approved? It looks like a direct & obvious violation of their pricing mechanism.
