Free Chrome extension that auto-tracks your focus, labels sites as productive or not, and grows a sheep based on how you spend your time. Itโs effortless, private, and a little too honest about your browser habits.

Spot on branding - congrats on the launch and the product! Keep up the great work.
@yangfanyun@hassaan4 Thank you for working on this. I have been looking for a tool like Shepherd for the longest time, and the ones that I tried, don't look that interesting. Just added the Chrome extension; will drop a review after a week :)
@hassaan4ย @tanoy27ย That means a lot Tanoy, thank you! We'd love to hear how it goes after a week. Excited to see what all your sheep look like by then ๐

Congratulations on the launch. It looks promising, and I am interested in trying it.
However, while installing it in Chrome, I received the following message: "Proceed with caution: This extension is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing."
Could you please confirm whether this extension is safe to use and provide any clarification on this warning?
@mykyta_semenov_ Thanks Mykyta! Good question. Do you mean like, does Shepherd distinguish between work hours and off hours? Right now it tracks everything while the extension is running, but separating out work hours vs personal time is something we've been thinking about. Would love to know if that's what you're looking for!

@yangfanyunย Iโm thinking about how the application could help me personally. My problem (like most peopleโs) is that I get distracted during work hours by social media or other entertainment sites. And of course, I understand that this is bad. So the first task is to show how much time I spend inefficiently during the workday. And the second task is, when I open an entertainment site during work hours, to send me a message or play some sound signal that Iโm doing something wrong and need to close the social network. After all, itโs just a bad habit โ I can read Facebook in the evening, we all do this unconsciously. Thatโs what I meant by motivation.

The visual time tracking approach is smart โ most productivity tools tell you what to do, but very few show you where your time actually went. Sometimes awareness alone changes behavior. Nice work!

I feel like this is tracking peopleโs porn habits that work from home and they may forget theyโre being monitored by the this product.

@rahul_das48ย Hey Rahul! Yes it's completely safe - we looked into it and it happens to every new Chrome extension: https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/2664769?hl=en-GB#zippy=%2Cinstall-with-enhanced-protection
Sadly there's nothing we can do about it on our side except wait a few weeks.
Excited for you to use the product and get your feedback! ๐
It is very good. Its saves me lot of time from my everyday life wasting it on social media i like how i can see how much time i wasted
Shepherd
@dibra_ruthย Love hearing that! The "seeing how much time I actually wasted" moment is what got me hooked too. Excited for you to continue using it!
Nice little app) Is there any kind of motivation if I visit the wrong sites during work hours?
