Sparkle uses AI to create a unique folder system and organize every new file (and all your old ones) into the right place. It manages your Downloads, Desktop, and Documents folders and gives your folders images so content is even easier to find.

Why would anyone trust AI to sort their personal files, feels like leaving your stuff with a stranger and hoping for the best, have you even thought about privacy, also what if it misplaces important stuff, are users stuck fixing AI's mistakes

This sounds intriguing! Does Sparkle have any integrations with cloud storage systems? I'm curious how it handles syncing across devices. Also, what kind of AI algorithms does it use for organizing?

@big_tree We currently use OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini. Right now we only organize your Documents, Desktop, and Downloads folders. So if you use icloud to keep those in sync, your changes should work across devices!

Not sure AI should be the one managing all my files, sounds a bit intrusive, what if it messes up important documents or moves stuff I don't want moved, do you plan on adding any manual override options or user controls, seems like a good idea but the lack of control makes it a bit hard to trust, thoughts?

This is a fantastic solution for file organization! The ability to manage Downloads, Desktop, and Documents with AI is a game changer. This sounds intriguing! I'm curious about how Sparkle handles the initial organization of existing files—does it use AI to analyze file content and suggest the best placements? Also, what happens when new file types are introduced? Is the folder system adaptive to those changes? Would love to hear from the Makers about the tech behind this!

@ezshine Hi there! Sparkle organizes your existing folders into the manual library, so if you've already got an organizational system, it wont go away. For individual files, we use AI to organize them into a unique folder structure. If you upload a file type/name that's way different than your new folder structure in the AI library, Sparkle will make a new folder for that category of file!
