Very comprehensive but approachable plugin. I'd always left SEO to chance believing that as long as the page looked good, was semantically correct and read well to the visitor then all would be ok. How wrong was I? I like the fact that tasks are set out in small, achievable chunks that I can chip away at, starting with one page and expanding across the whole site. One thing I'm not 100% certain about is the Live Assistant reporting when there are shortcodes on the page. For example, I have a shop page with a woocommerce shortcode that pulls in all the products from a certain category. By chance all my product titles had the keyword phrase already in them. Live Assistant is saying my page is optimised but I'm thinking it's probably over-optimised and I can't see a way to confirm or deny that.

There are many things that can be done with SEO to compete even with "the big guys" https://www.squirrly.co/can-amaz... - which can make SEO become pretty exciting. In the case you mention: it's best to also go to the Cloud App and copy the text from within the page + text generated after shortcodes are rendered. And then try to see if over-optimization check is triggered in the SEO Live Assistant on the cloud app. Due to the way WP itself is built with the PHP core always getting generated on access, the SEO Live Assistant can't know what will be displayed by that shortcode. It would have to somehow simulate it, but checking with Cloud App is easier. "By chance all my product titles had the keyword phrase already in them." - it would be best if they had different keywords, or at least variations. Otherwise from a SEO perspective you're creating multiple pages that compete with one another and it will cause your rankings to fluctuate and sometimes behave pretty weird - I've had this case myself on a Shopify site I was building.

So, I've had about 2 weeks to play around with Squirrly SEO. This is my first SEO tool and I gotta say, I love it. I'm new to SEO and, to be honest, it felt a bit like jabbing into the dark, having no real idea how optimized my content is (or isn't). But with Squirrly's content editor, it's crystal clear what I need to do to rank. After following it's guidelines and rewriting some of my articles, one of them showed up on the first page of Google! It's a small win but one that gives me absolute confidence that if I put in the work, I'll get the SEO results I'm hoping for in due time. Though, there is A LOT more to this tool than just the content editor. It really covers pretty much everything you need to do for on-page SEO stuff. If you're new to SEO like I am, I suggest grabbing this.

Before discovering Squirrly SEO deal in AppSumo, my SEO tool of choice was Yoast. But I've never really felt using that SEO tool well as I am not a SEO expert and don't have the time to invest too many hours learning about SEO optimization. That's why Squirrly came in to help me with that process: I like their guide and the steps explaining what to do next in order to get it working. That's great for me! The only thing that I think the tool needs more improvement to take it to the next level is to improve its UX/UI. It looks REALLY dated. Other than that, everything else it great

We began making plans for a new UI and will have a UX advisor who worked on ShutterStock, so we feel pretty positive about what we'll achieve on that end.

If you're a noob in the SEO space like me, you're going to need more than a search engine optimization plugin for WordPress. 😏 Sorry Yoast, Rankmath, and others that would take way to long to mention. I had no intention of even buying Squirrly when I'd first came across it. But I knew it would be a mistake to miss out on Squirrly for one fundamental reason: While other plugins help you 'do SEO' on various levels, Squirrly actually helps the inexperienced to 'become SEOs.' Unquestionably, there is an inherent difference between these two scenarios, right? That said... I want a comprehensive understanding of the SEO process to match the service provided to clients, rather than optimization alone. So I've had no second reservations about passing on Rankmath. Not to mention, Squirlly's cloud functionality is just another reason I know my SEO journey is going to be nothing short of amazing. I do hope you add Squirrly to your arsenal of SEO tools, but if you don't... I certainly appreciate the clientele moving forward 😉 *If you know what I mean*

Squirrly has been an interesting product to try out. The UI was a bit off-putting at first and I had some issues getting connected initially. But support has been extremely fast to help with any issues and it holds much of the power of the paid-for Yoast SEO plugin. I'm cautiously optimistic so far!

Squirrly SEO is by far the best Wordpress SEO plugin I've used. The installation and setup was seamless and I immediately got value out of the product. Although it's feature dense, it's easy to use. The few times I was stuck I found my answer quickly in their docs.
