How to say no. - Templates to help you say no in any situation

Interesting idea for sure! This is something that I started also doing a while back and at first it's a tough task for the mind to go through. It's a shock to the system to say the least but after a while you get used to simply saying no.

Just gonna say "YES" to this hunt, @thepatwalls. :) Imported all 31 templates and guess, I won't have any more unnecessary headaches to say "No".

One thing that I noticed during college was that it wasn't necessarily that people didn't have time for certain responsibilities, it was that they didn't want to make the time for it. Meaning, an assignment or student org which was a priority for me, might not be a priority for them, and vice versa. I like the templates that say no because you don't have enough time, instead of the ones who say no because of a 'crazy busy schedule.' The first implies a deliberate assessment of the ask, and a conscious no, versus a no to all incoming traffic. I also like the templates that offer an alternative/reply to what the requester is really asking for---for example, the responder offering quotes from his/her/their article (can't assume that James' preferred pronoun is a 'he' these days), in respond to an interview request that he had to decline. None of the templates I read quite speak to me, but I do like this idea and think it's a good one---I might even draft a few 'no' emails for myself for the mental exercise and future reference!
