@al3xstrat Given the new PixelBook launch, do you have any plans to make a Chrome version of Station? That'd be really great đź’Ż
Alexandre Lachèze
@amrith interesting question! How would you imagine it?
Stefan Natter
@amrith @al3xstrat interesting question indeed.

@al3xstrat I'd be dumb to say a Chrome Extension, but a webapp of sorts that works well with Chrome OS and Chromebooks in general maybe?
Alexandre Lachèze
@amrith even more interesting suggestion! We considered it, but the adoption of Chrome OS / Chrome Books is limited, even more in the business world. Windows and Mac are more common. (I think Chrome OS / Chrome Books are more common in the education world.)

I've been using Station as a beta tester for the last two months, and I have to say I've absolutely fallen in love with it! Super useful and beautiful!
Alexandre Lachèze
@g3rmander :) Thanks for your support! Very glad you like it!

This is probably the best app I have discovered on Product Hunt in a long-2 time
Alexandre Lachèze
@vikasr111 very happy we brought it to Product Hunt then! :)

Office 365 isn't working. The apps open in a new tab/window on Chrome, which I think is the issue. So you log into 365, and can't go any further in the Station app. Any ideas?
Alexandre Lachèze
Oh shott @theashtube ! OK, let us try to solve this. I let you know

@al3xstrat Thanks - that's my main email app for work, so fixing that one would mean I spend 50% of my day in Station :D
Product Pearson
@al3xstrat I found a workaround. The main buttons on the middle of the page open in a new tab, but if you click the icon in the top left, and choose Mail from there, it opens in the same tab, so it works inside Station. :) Just thought I better let you know that!
Alexandre Lachèze
@theashtube thank you! We also pushed a fix in the new version that should improve that! (you'll receive the update notification automatically)
Product Pearson
@al3xstrat Thanks!

We have been early users of Station and it has helped the team on so many levels: - huge gain in productivity - easier onboarding => thanks to the new bundles feature - better workflows Highly recommend it!
Alexandre Lachèze
@gillesbertaux thank you Gilles! Colleague's on-boarding, part of the coming "Station for Teams", is our next focus!

Finally, i can bring my count of open browser tabs to a number where i can start to see the favicons and title tags again!
Alexandre Lachèze
@mustermania hehe! :)
Justin Musterman
@al3xstrat great product, really... is there a process for other makers to submit their product for integration?
Alexandre Lachèze
@mustermania good question! If you built a (pro) web application, we can integrate it into Station for sure. Just drop the name, url and icon of your app. That being said, if you want your app to integrate deeper w/ Station (plug to unified search, subdock panel, notification center etc..), stay tuned, we plan to release an extension SDK! :)

Like a desktop for the cloud age.
Alexandre Lachèze
@joanyanw that's it! We also called it the operating system for SaaS :)
Justin A
@al3xstrat That actually sounds much cooler.

@al3xstrat Multiple instances such as Twitter does not actually separate two accounts; if I log out of one, it logs out of the other. cc: @StationHQ
Alexandre Lachèze
@amrith good catch! We have this feature on the roadmap! Thanks
Amrith
@al3xstrat looking forward to it, need it ASAP. I'm actually challenging myself as to how long I can go without using my browser, help me out here thanks!
Alexandre Lachèze
@amrith actually, I almost forget to mention that many users of Station facing this problem actually ended up using Tweetdeck which is perfect to handle the management of 2 or more Twitter accounts — far better than 2 different tabs.
Stefan Natter
@al3xstrat any plans for an access password? Like Rambox has it. To open the main app and use the installed services, you have to enter a password. I really like this feature, because it lets you keep certain services (eg. WhatsApp) more secure. Besides that, awesome app!
Alexandre Lachèze
@natterstefan great suggestion! We have password manager support on our roadmap!
Stefan Natter
@al3xstrat awesome!
Nicolas Le Roux
I had the chance to try an early version of Station. The team did a great job and the product is really impressive. Good job guys!
Alexandre Lachèze
Thank you @nico_lrx !
