Downloaded the app and will try it, but not wanting to be negative... these apps keep all apps open using RAM and CPU where as individual apps can be closed and only opened when needed and not using constant resources. Will give it a try but Frantz (electron made I believe) was a app that used too many resources and gave up on it.

Hello @androidlove đź‘‹ I definitely share your experience with this kind of app! That's why, in Station, we addressed this issue! We idle applications you have not used for long and repop it as soon as you need it. That's transparent for the user, but it definitely has an impact on RAM and CPU! So, try it, and let us know how it feels! :)

@al3xstrat Awesome, will try it longer, but already ease of use and overall Station has beat Franz...

@al3xstrat this is brilliant! I am super stoked to start using Station! It's intuitive and very useful; great work! I will be sure to be in touch if there is anything I think of mentioning! Awesome job!

@3raxton Thanks!

The clean design is excellent. I've played around with it for a bit and like it so far, great job to your team. Would love to see any public roadmaps you guys have that show apps you'll be integrating in the future. In the past I have basically used Toby in Chrome to act as a "Hub" of links I use frequently for work. Station streamlines that workflow ever-so-slightly to where it could be a game changer :). Obligatory request for app integrations without knowing if it's even technically feasible: - Omnifocus - Airmail - Fantastical Congrats on the launch!

@nneuman yes for the public roadmap, we'll do so in the coming weeks! I noted your apps and we'll tell you when it's ready! :)

What about Linkedin Sales Navigator?. It opens a new window and exits you of the experience. Is there a way to be able to add sales navigator to station as an app?
Alexandre Lachèze
@vabustillos definitely! I note that and we'll let you know when it's ready!

Another query... Found your Slack community from your FAQ, and its auto added to the Apps, but I don't seem to have automatic access as listed. I assume this is a leftover from the invite-only beta? (I'd rather not spam your PH)
Alexandre Lachèze
@shoshinzen W'd really love to discuss directly further on your feedbacks in the Slack! Let me know your email in DM and I invite you to the Slack. See you! :)

@al3xstrat followed ya! Follow back and I'll DM

How does is compare with the open-source Rambox ? http://rambox.pro/
Alexandre Lachèze
Hi @archimac I think Rambox is closer to Franz, and both are focused on communication apps. With Station, we focused on gathering every work applications (communication, CRM, project management..) in 1 place. Personally, I used Franz for all my personal communication channels and Station for my professional workspace. It helps me focus.

Hello guys and well done for the amazing job you've accomplished! The product is awesome ;) Things I ♥ : - Ability to switch smoothly beetween several accounts (it's huge, and usefull when you got so many accounts!) - Nice and clean interface Things I would ♥ : - Messenger integration - Reddit integration - IFTT integration Things I would really ♥ : - A super powerfull search bar ("Search email on this email account with thoses keywords") - A task launcher ("Create a todo in Todoist within 'station is op' project and name it 'create a task launcher'") => THIS WOULD BE AWESOME FOR PRODUCTIVTY. - In the search bar, when you have the same app twice, show the account linked to the app as a legend so you can open the right account - Smarter "app top corner notifications" : how many unread email I've got, how many tasks I have to do today, when is my next upcoming event, how much time I've spend on a specific task... Things I don't like : - Unavailable on other OS (mainly thinking of Linux / Ubuntu) - Inablilty to quickly go back on the previous page (using backspace / mouse) - The sidebar when you hover an app icon, each time you want to switch between apps you're likely to trigger it, it's really painfull - Sticky notification on top of gmail icon if you have unread emails : it should go off once you visited the app or you should be able to turn it off. As an exemple I keep a lot of my emails opened so I can keep in mind there's an action awaiting for this email. Think of the actual notification in the tabs within Chrome. I hope it helps, and again, great job!

@iamkalgar thanks thanks thanks for the numerous feedbacks, let me try to answer: I also ❤️ the things you ❤️ :) I noted the app you would ❤️ and let you know when it's ready For the super powerful search bar and the task launcher: I dream about these too! The difficulty with Station was really to, at the same time, 1/ provide a large variety of integrations and 2/ integrate deeply with some services (search in all emails, etc..). The current version has done a good job already (i guess) on this path, but we think we can do better. For that, we plan to release an extension SDK that'd plug to the search, notification center, a task launcher.. Thanks to this SDK, Station team and external developers will be able to provide deeper integrations and esp. the one you mentioned. "app top corner notifications" => not sure to understand Yes, the only missing Linux version is on track. Go back: yes, what methods of "go back" are you the most used to? Mouse = click? The sidebar on hover: we can do better indeed! We'll do! Noted your feedbacks on the badge (# unread).

@al3xstrat I'm getting in touch with you by email, I might be able to help you inthe development process as it looks to be done using web technologies

@ldesserrey @al3xstrat Where is the download link?
Alexandre Lachèze
@ldesserrey @parwinder If you entered your email, just after it should start DL the installer? Did it happen?
Parwinder Bhagat
@ldesserrey @al3xstrat I was able to download it the next day when the email input was removed. Using it for the last 4 days. Pretty good so far!

@leefranchap You're right about that - the slide panel adds to nothing. It makes far more sense to simply have a UI box that will allow us to connect apps because once we are all set up, we are highly unlikely to touch that part. Same pattern with any desktop app, to be honest - I'm not sure why they chose to do it this way. I guess because otherwise, it would just be a dedicated web browser with a different name?
Alexandre Lachèze
@leefranchap @erickbarron86 we are working on that panel and make it better in upcoming releases. Stay tuned!

The UI is great and the concept is fresh keep it up. Is it like a browser with book marking?
Alexandre Lachèze
@arya_kailash thanks! Call it the way you want! :)
