Very good idea to try to offer learning in a way that it fits to all kinds of people. The logo looks a bit too much like a yoga studio, but I love the idea! ❤️💡

@michacassola Thank you for the feedback! We’re glad you love the idea, and we’ll keep the logo in mind as we continue to evolve 😊

@michacassola LOL. We'll truthfully we are a bunch of yogis developing a learning platform that revolves around meaningful connection and conversation :-)
Natasha Sell
@michacassola :) I totally get that about the logo and the name right? We picked Sutra because it means thread of knowledge and we envisioned those threads of wisdom weaving together in community based learning.

I’ve never completed a course in my life, and I took many! The most painful and expensive one was $400 which I didn’t properly start. Glad someone is working on this problem - all the best!
Natasha Sell
@yernar_a It's a sad and funny truth isn't it...I am just like you...paid so much money for a course I never completed and there are so many more others like us out there : ) That is definitely our focus to transform.
Lorenz Sell
@yernar_a ya, I've paid for tons of courses that I never completed too!

@lorenzsell Congratulations on your launch. This is a very innovative approach to learning and for someone like me who never finishes her online courses, this would be a great game changer. Kudos!
Lorenz Sell
@frankie_amoah Thanks Frankie. I created this because I want to participate in more experiences like this as well :-)
Natasha Sell
@frankie_amoah thanks Frankie, this is probably we created the tool for ourselves as my experience was very much like yours : )
Monique Lonardi
@frankie_amoah Thank you so much! We appreciate your support! 🎉

congratulations sir on this great launch! But I really want to know about how you managed to work with AI's accuracy. Most of the ai geta us the precise answers but what about accuracy. Sometimes searchers don't like the way of answer or mod of answer
Natasha Sell
@krishna_chinai thanks for the question. We actually don't have the AI participate in the conversation. The conversation happens between human beings. The AI just looks at connections it can make between what people are saying and connecting them to each other. Does that make sense?
Lorenz Sell
@krishna_chinai we don't have to deal with accuracy because we just use the AI to evaluate other people's responses. Most of our work revolves around creating connection between humans. Not necessarily enabling humans to better connect with AI.

Congrats on the launch! I think it's a real problem to solve with unfinished courses. But I'm curious about your target audience and positioning. It seems like your buyer is a course creator, but you seem to be addressing a student pain point (not finishing courses). Are creators willing to pay for solving this problem?
Lorenz Sell
@janeph nice point Jane! so far all the creators we've talked to are really interested in this. uncompleted courses usually means that a person isn't buying another course. on the other hand, if a person has completed a course and feels connected to a group of people they're much more likely to purchase again. so there is a definite economic incentive for the creator.
Natasha Sell
@janeph yes our customers are course creators who want to design an engaging experience for for their participants. They are willing to pay for it because, 1. they have higher completion rates and satisfaction rates so they get more referrals and business, and 2. they feel good that their work and content is creating impact in peoples lives because it's actually being discussed and implemented, and 3. they can charge a little bit more money for their programs as it's also a subscription to connect to a whole new network of people interested in the same thing.

💡 Bright idea
Hola. Conversational learning sounds very promising. Congrats! A few notes: - Why does the placeholder for the response say "Write something"? I think a more motivating message can encourage learners to put more effort into reflecting on the content. If the message is "Write something", learners may just write a one-word response. What if it said smth like "What are your insights from this section?" or "Anything worth remembering in this section?" - Notion-like approach for making courses? That's clever! I think integrating in-editor AI features into that could make it even more powerful.
Lorenz Sell
@potenusa Hi Andrei - thanks for taking the time to look at the product and give feedback. I really appreciate it. The write something prompt in the discussion input box is customizable by the creator. So that's just the default. Yeah, and I think there's a lot of room for expansion with AI support course creation, particularly for more reflective experiences that we're trying to support here.
Natasha Sell
@potenusa Andrei thank you so much for exploring the product and for your thoughtful feedback!

Congrats on the launch! I like the email feature that lets you receive updates from others about the course. It’s a nice way to stay engaged, almost like getting a newsletter. I think this feature will be especially useful for online Master’s programs or discussion-based courses, where it’s easy to miss content and lose engagement points. I’m curious—who is your target audience? I see you have collaborated with many educational institutions, hope to see more of them!
Natasha Sell
@sonia_ponzo Hi Sonia, thanks for noticing that email notification feature. We actually put a lot of thought and love in its functionality customizing each message to each participant based on what they share, etc. We do have quite a few organizations who offer learning and development programs. We have a few Harvard professors on there with their side programs outside of university courses. As an educator I do hope we can make an impact on the overall space in online learning.

Sutra's approach to online learning is truly innovative, transforming passive self-paced courses into engaging, AI-facilitated experiences that foster connection and ensure completion. Can't wait to see how it changes the landscape of digital education!
Natasha Sell
@aaronsun thanks Aaron, curious to hear more about your experience with online course. Have you taken any? what worked? what didn't for you?
Lorenz Sell
@aaronsun Thanks Aaron. We're excited to see what emerges :-)
Monique Lonardi
@aaronsun Thanks so much! We’re excited to see how our AI-driven approach will impact digital education.
