Taste helps people find the best local places to eat and drink. Locals get one favorite in each category; one coffee shop, one burger joint, etc. Check-In to receive milestones in each category to increase the value of your opinion and keep track of where you've been. Reshape the way you go eat and drink, through a positive exchange: favorites.

This is interesting and a nice change of pace from all the review websites which are based on a star/numbers rating system. I like how you can discover new places to eat by looking at your friends lists. That way you can discover food from people whose opinion you trust. However, I feel like the favoriting system based on categories is something that will get messy and unwieldy quickly. There are many strategies that people use to choose a place to eat - pricing, cuisine and proximity are three that come to mind at the moment. Pricing alone can add up to three more categories and proximity can add an unknown number of categories if you do it based on neighborhoods. Having to favorite things across many categories doesn't seem too attractive to me especially when some of my choices can overlap. Maybe a favoriting system based on tags would be more effective? Great job though, it looks awesome!
