We're in early beta with ToolROI.com – How do you decide if a dev tool is actually "worth it"?

by

Hey Makers 👋

I'm currently prepping the beta launch for ToolROI.com. Before we officially ship it, I wanted to step out of the IDE and get some raw insights from the community here.

The problem we're tackling is tech stack bloat. We all love adopting new dev tools and SaaS products, but tracking the actual return on investment (ROI) of those subscriptions usually ends up in a fragmented spreadsheet or just relies on "gut feeling."

We are building ToolROI to fix this loop. Since we're a fresh formation in early beta, I want to make sure our core features actually align with your day-to-day pain points before we push to production.

So, a quick question for the developers and founders here: How do you currently justify, track, or measure the value of the tools in your stack? Would love to hear your workflows or workarounds. Also, if anyone wants early access to poke around the beta, try to break things, and drop some honest feedback, just let me know below! 👇

Thanks!
