What inspired you to tackle embedded BI specifically?
We worked at Palantir and saw how analytics could be done well for enterprises. We want to make sure the smaller guys can do it too. And to start with, we want to first give analytics building power to B2B SaaS companies so they can build great analytics for their users.
How are developers using this in ways you didn't expect?
We end up having users using us for internal analytics and wanting to integrate data from like Hubspot and Stripe with data from their database. Because of that, we will be releasing our Data Plane feature soon. So our users can interact with data from databases, SaaS tools and APIs all via a single SQL-based interface. They can then do internal analytics on top of the harmonized data.
