Love this idea! If developers are able to test their code before they ship, then designers should be able to test their designs before they hand it off to the next step.
@lienchueh Exactly the sentiment! It's a bit like test driven product development where the Product team would come up with the product outcomes together and the designer can work to meet those outcomes before even speaking with the PM.
@lienchueh yes! You’ve nailed it! That mindset shift is exactly what we’re seeing. Testing design before handoff should be as normal as testing code before deploy. And once you’ve seen how fast and easy it can be, it really feels like a no-brainer

💡 Bright idea
Nice work, I can see this being useful for contractors, something to back up your design decisions as an outsider to a team..
@ryan_hays1 Thanks, Ryan, such a good point and one we have definitely heard from contractors and freelancers. Having something concrete to back up design decisions can be a game-changer when you’re not embedded in the team. It helps shift the conversation from opinion to evidence.
@ryan_hays1 Yes! We hope Velocity can serve as an impartial step of diligence for many parties working together. We see it being great on both sides, as a designer you can point at why your design solution is quantifiably a good option and can easily push back on bad ideas introduced at the whim of clients/hippos. On the PM/business side, they can rest easier expecting quality to always meet a degree of impartial quality before they are even concerned.

Great job on the launch! The challenges of keeping projects on track and teams aligned are real, so tools like Velocity are always welcome. Would love to hear more about how your platform stands out from others in this field.
@thanhthao169 We don't know any others where you can run simulations against your prototypes! Rather from the context of QA / dev resting we are for Designers and PMs. There are other platforms to work with real human testing but I believe we are the first in simulations. Certainly native within Figma.

This strikes such a chord, so much time gets wasted guessing what stakeholders might push back on later. Having prompt-driven Figma flows with actual user heatmaps and data-backed reports? That's a serious shift in raising design accountability early on.
@vivek_sharma_25 Exactly! And we’ve all felt that pain too! So much energy gets lost second guessing stakeholder reactions instead of focusing on the design itself. We wanted to give designers something concrete early on, so feedback isn’t just reactive, it’s informed. So glad this resonated.
@vivek_sharma_25 In our interviews we heard this a lot especially with contractors and organisations where reports need to travel up through additional layers of management.
@pulkitgarg Appreciate it, Pulkit! We’re big believers that early feedback shouldn’t be hard to get, so bringing it straight into the Figma flow felt like the most natural step. Can’t wait to hear what you think once you give it a try.
@pulkitgarg Yes, the game is forever now changes because why not first get feedback from Simulations? It could at least reinforce your certainty but better still it could catch pitfalls before you are in front of a person.

This is such a no-brainer, testing right inside Figma with AI and human layers feels like the missing piece. Love how fast the feedback loop is, especially with heatmaps and WCAG checks baked in. Definitely trying this on our next wireframe sprint.

This is such a smart solution to a problem every product team faces! I like how you've made early design validation accessible right within Figma - that's where it could be most helpful.
The AI simulation approach is really innovative, and I can see how this would help teams catch issues before they even reach human testing. The heat-maps and reporting features look incredibly useful for building confidence in design decisions and communicating with stakeholders.
I'm would like to try this out on some of my current projects. Thanks for building something that actually addresses the real workflow challenges designers face daily. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!

Absolutely awesome product, congrats Kevin and team! 🔥🔥🥳
AI first design / UX reviews is a huge benefit to startups etc and those who don't have ready access to enough users for testing.

Congrats to the Velocity team for releasing such an amazing plugin. This is such a fabulous idea! 👏 Testing is one thing I can’t do without in design, but sometimes recruiting people to test on can be a hassle. So I love the fact that I can get feedback early on in my design process with this AI tool and make changes before recruiting actual humans to test my prototypes. Kudos to the team and all the best with the launch! 👌🤝🚀🚀

“Velocity AI super impressed by how it brings real‑user testing directly into prototypes it feels like a game changer for early feedback.

It's great to see AI products that enhance user experience, rather than those template-based, soullessly generated interfaces.
