We built WishfulMail to bring back the joy of handwritten letters — but in a digital, safe way. As parents, we realized there was no modern platform where kids could write to their favorite magical friends without ads, data collection, or exposure to strangers. WishfulMail keeps imagination alive while giving parents full control and privacy. We’re proud that it’s 100% free, family-friendly, and COPPA-compliant — because childhood magic should never come with a price tag. We’d love your feedback — which magical friend should we add next? 🦄🎅🧚‍♀️

Okay this is actually super cute, I love the idea of kids sending letters to Santa and the Tooth Fairy while parents get a secret peek How do you keep all the messages safe though Also would be fun if there were little prompts or ideas to help kids write their letters, do you plan to add something like that?

Vladimir Nikolic

@prisans let me answer. Messages are safe as the whole platform is hosted on @Laravel Cloud. There is no safer hosting solution nowadays. As for prompts, that sounds like a good idea to me, so why not, I might do something like that.
I did implemented @OpenAI API to chat with kids, and it's approachable only after a parent generates a code and pass it to kid. Otherwise kid cant chat. Also, I limited chats to 15 minutes. We dont want our kids too long in front of the Screen, dont we? :)

Prisans Singh

@codingwisely Okay wow this is actually super smart. The parent code and 15 min limit is such a vibe, love how you’re keeping kids safe but still letting them have fun Would be kinda cool if there was like a weekly mini summary for parents, just a sneak peek at what their kid wrote or chatted about could give some inspo for real-life fun stuff anyway this is lowkey amazing, can totally see families loving this. But I loved your idea of execution.

Vladimir Nikolic

@prisans there is. Parent can see it in dashboard. :) This is a whole idea and carefully thought off before I created it :)

Prisans Singh

@codingwisely Ah okay that dashboard sounds super handy Love that you really thought this through One thing that could make it even cooler is maybe adding some mini badges or fun reactions for kids when they send letters Could make it feel more playful and keep them excited to write more

Ibtissam Noukta

A project to keep childhood magic alive. WishfulMail lets kids write to Santa and friends safely, privately, and for free. 🎅✨

Vladimir Nikolic

@ibtissam_noukta thank you for the review!

Van de Vouchy
Great project! How do you ensure that letters actually get delivered to Santa?
Vladimir Nikolic

@vouchy I have Santa private phone number. And not only Santa, but all of the Magical characters listed. However I cant tell you more, as I have signed NDA with them.

Rishi Uttam

How will you compete with the post office? I believe most will respond with a generic message from the north pole :)

Vladimir Nikolic

@rishiuttamhk not at all. Every response is hand written. No generic messages, I assure you. So if you child writes a letter to any of our characters, child will get only hand written responses. :)

Hetvee Sanghani

Can we change the colors for Boys and Girls. Maybe keeping it a bit generic.

Vladimir Nikolic
@hetvee_sanghani sure we can, what do you think when saying generic? Remove the colors?
Hetvee Sanghani

@codingwisely Maybe you guys could change the colours which are typically labelled with Male and Female genders.

Chilarai M

Congrats! This is a super cute idea for kids. Loved it

Vladimir Nikolic

@chilarai Thank you! Did you know you can also print out some games for kids to play offline? Like maze? :)

Vladimir Nikolic

@chilarai thank you!
