Project Management by Xmind - Turn mind maps into lightweight project plans

by
Plan in maps, break down with AI, track in Gantt. No complex setup, no switching tools. Everything you need to turn ideas into impact—nothing you don't.

Great ideas and smart move!

  • Do you plan to get a simple dashboard with all tasks listing from all documents of space? This would make Xmind a great brainstorming to planning tool.
No need for complex, just to see all tasks grouped by documents, when they need to be done and who make it. Craft Docs make this.

  • Does outliner mode will be available online? Actually it seems limited to local maps but It's a great tool for using Xmind like any simple note tool before going into the mindmapping.

    thanks and keep going!

@thibault_vanhoutte Haha, you might just be predicting the future here 👀

The dashboard idea is… let’s say, under construction

This is yet another reason why Xmind is the superior choice for mind mapping.

Make Xmind great again, again and again...

Onwards and upwards with Xmind!

I’ve planned projects with Xmind for years, and v26 finally connects “from mind map to execution” in a seamless way. Turning nodes into tasks with priority/progress and tracking via Timeline/Gantt cuts the friction of jumping across tools. Spaces is genuinely useful too—it keeps work tidy by organizing across teams/topics. Excited to see the template ecosystem and deeper collaboration refinements next; congrats to the team on the launch! @hacksman

Have been using Xmind for years and really like the latest Timeline and Chart feature, it could help you keep everything tide, hope everyone could love this feature!

This is the workflow I've been waiting for! As a long-time Xmind user, the context switch from brainstorming in a map to managing tasks in a separate tool has always been the biggest friction point. Keeping planning and tracking in one place is a game-changer.

The ability to turn a node into a task with a date feels so natural. I'm especially excited to try the Timeline view for setting milestones.

Been using Xmind for years — love seeing it evolve beyond brainstorming. This update really hits a sweet spot between structure and creativity. The new Task and Pitch modes make it much easier to turn ideas into actual progress. Great work, team 👏

Jerry Zhang

@nyun_4 Thanks so much! 🙌 Love how you said that — structure and creativity is exactly what we’re going for.

We actually just added a new Project view in this update — it turns your maps into simple project boards.

Would love to hear what you think if you give it a try!

@hacksman Thanks, Jerry! 🙌 Just tried the Project view — love how seamless it feels. Turning maps into project boards really keeps the flow from ideas to execution without that “tool-switch” friction. Nicely done.

Jerry Zhang

@nyun_4 Appreciate that, Nyun! We’re all about cutting that tool-switch pain 😄

Does this mean I can ditch Notion and my PM tool? 👀

Jerry Zhang

@stellar_zhou Yeah, pretty much! Xmind’s great for lightweight projects — if it’s not a big team setup, I’d totally recommend trying it out.

For larger projects though, Notion’s still awesome.

What kind of projects are you managing these days? 👀

Stellar Zhou

@hacksman Haha that makes sense 😄 I’m mostly handling small-to-medium creative and content projects lately — so sounds like Xmind could fit perfectly! I’ll give it a shot and see how far it can go before I miss Notion 😂

How do existing users update to version 26? I only see version 25 in both the regular release and the beta channel. Long-time user and love Xmind

Chris

Congratulations on the launch, super useful for project collaboration!
