I'm Relja, a solo developer from Serbia. I spend most of my day at a desk, and by evening my neck always told me how I'd been sitting. Posture straps and camera apps never stuck for me.
Then I realized AirPods Pro and Max have the same motion sensors as a phone, and they sit on your head all day. So I built AirPosture: it watches your head angle through your AirPods, and when you start to slouch, a calm voice in your ear tells you to sit back up. No extra hardware, no camera.
I launched a very early version here in March. Since then almost everything changed:

How often does the voice coach nudge you? Sorry if covered. But i’d worry about it getting annoying during long work sessions.
@jamie_day Good question, it's the thing I tuned the most. A quick glance down doesn't count. On the default level the coach waits for about 4 seconds of a clear slouch, says one short line, and if you stay slouched it switches to a soft tone every 45 seconds until you sit up. A new slouch never gets a cue sooner than 30 seconds after the last one.
Is "slouch" a fixed angle or does it learn my normal position? Reading notes on the desk vs looking at a monitor are totally different head angles for me, and I'd mute anything that pings me for reading.
@danylo_kozak Not a fixed angle. It measures from your own upright, taken when the session starts (or whenever you tap Set upright), and it keeps adjusting during the session: if you sit up after a cue and settle a bit lower than where you started, that becomes your new upright. There's a limit, so it can't slowly drift into accepting a slouch.
Honest answer on reading though: AirPods only see head angle, so reading notes flat on the desk looks like a slouch to them. For now the fix is the mute (30 min or an hour, also one tap in the Mac notch panel) while you read. A proper reading mode is a fair ask and it's going on my list.
the quiet cue in the notch during focus hours sounds way less annoying than a buzzing phone. did you test how often it nudges before it starts feeling naggy?
@neerajnathany Thanks! That was the main goal on the Mac. The notch panel only shows up for a slouch that lasts, never more than once every 90 seconds, and it hides as soon as you sit up. If you need a quiet hour, there's a mute button right in the panel. Early feedback also pushed me to add volume sliders and a "how often" setting with plain numbers instead of vague levels.

Using the motion sensors already in AirPods as a posture coach is a neat idea. Small productivity tools like this are usually my kind of thing, and a quiet cue from the Mac menu bar rather than pop-ups feels right to me.
@simon_moxon Thanks Simon! That's the whole idea: no new hardware, and on the Mac it stays out of the way in the menu bar until you actually slouch.
