Proven business models that have driven success for global leaders across industries. Rethink how your business can create, deliver, and capture value.
Very interesting product @toxboe ! I am curious to know why you chose a card deck as a product instead of a digital app. Does it make the team interaction more collaborative? Personally, I would think so? Would love to know your insights!
@almarie_stander Indeed! Choosing a card deck format over a digital app was intentional to enhance team interaction.
The tactile nature of the card deck promotes active engagement and collaboration, making it easier for teams to physically share ideas, rearrange concepts, and visually map out business strategies together in real-time.
This format encourages open dialogue and helps build a shared understanding (and language) among all participants, which is often more challenging to achieve with digital tools.
Plus, the deck can be used anywhere, anytime, without needing tech setup, making it versatile for all sorts of workshop environments.
Hello Product Hunt community!

@andrew_hawel Thank you so much for the kind words and support! It’s been a rewarding journey seeing how the card deck has sparked innovation across various teams and contexts.
One of my favorite exercises involves teams using the cards to map out and then challenge each business model element, fostering deep dives into alternatives that could enhance their strategies. The card deck lists and explains a couple of exercises around this:
1) (Basic) Business Model Mapping (as we all know it, using the Business Model Canvas)
2) "Reimagine Building Blocks", which examines each element in detail.
The backside of each card highlights examples of companies implementing the business model, but also marks which "boxes" of the Business Model Canvas that it influences. This insight can be used to quickly search for Business Model Patterns, which for instance deal with the Key Partner setup.
Another exercise that always yields an interesting find is the "Competition Radar", which maps out each competitor on a radar chart. This ends up providing a very insightful map highlighting strengths and weaknesses among yourself and competitors. A variation of this is doing a competitor radar on a fictive upcoming competitor, who uses new tech (for instance AI) or has some other advantage... This lets you compare and contrast how you best position yourself in opposition (or in partnership?) with potential upcomign threats.
I could go on...
But those 3 exercises are included in the card deck.
Keep pushing the boundaries, and thanks again for your enthusiasm and support!
My SaaS scale up company has successfully tested the card deck to challenge our thinking and improve our business model. The cards are great for facilitating physical/offline group discussions while they can also be used online. This works perfectly in our company where we believe that combining online and offline work bring out the best in our employees.
Thank you for sharing your experience!
It’s fantastic to hear that the card deck has been a valuable tool for your SaaS company, especially in blending online and offline discussions.
Your approach of integrating both work environments to enhance employee engagement and creativity is a key use case we designed for when creating this deck.
We're thrilled it's serving your team well and contributing to your business model development. Keep up the great work and thank you for your support!
Disclaimer - I developed this tool over the last 3 years.
It ende dup with 75 core cards that each provide clear, actionable insights into diverse business models. I have found this tool to have greatly enhanced my team's ability to explore different options as to how we best innovate and adapt.
The included exercises have been tried, tested, and refined over the last few years to make it super easy for teams understand how to use them in their daily work life.
After seeing how teams use them, I truly believe this is a must-have for anyone serious about transforming their business strategy.
I especially like the intuitive simplicity of the business model patterns cards. Using them I am forced to rethink the products position. At the same time it's a fun approach that does not feel as restricted as using canvas models.
