Does it require having your phone nearby / with you at all times for that recording connection? I'd love to be able to use it while out walking my dog or just in times when my phone is either at home or in my bag.

From the Fieldy onboarding video, looks like you have to keep the app running in the background while connected in Fieldy in order to "get the best experience." Is that the only way to record with Fieldy, by having your phone with you and running the app to capture? If that's the case why not just get a nice more low profile microphone, like a Hollylark, and just audio record as needed and then run that through ChatGPT/Claude/Etc? Trying to understand the use case and how the product works compared to Limitless and similar products
What I find most compelling is the AI chat feature. Not only can you search through your conversations (cue the “what did I agree to last Thursday?” panic relief), but you can also ask Fieldy for summaries, templates, and even a bit of self-reflection. I imagine a future where your wearable doesn’t just record your day—it actively helps you make sense of it.
