I created Foreground out of the desire for a privacy-respecting alternative to other services that automatically track your time across apps and sites, where my data would never be analysed and sold to others. Everything is kept locally, offline, and Foreground only needs an internet connection to check for updates. As co-founder of Hello Code, I've been building in public and making apps for personal tracking for about a decade now! And Foreground optionally integrates with our main product Exist too.

This is great @joshsharp! I think if you can also calculate time per browser tab/domain, it would make it even more enticing for many people, since most of us spend time on the web browser anyways. Congrats on the launch 🙌 Wish you all the best!

@joshsharp I see now, I think it would be clearer if you said "websites" everywhere instead of mixture of "sites"... I'm not one to miss something like that. But sites are just sites. Mentioning websites in the title here would have immediately triggered it for me :)

Congratulations on your launch 🎉👏🏿 One feedback if you don't mind - Private Time Tracking can have positive and negative meaning, both. 1. It keep track of your time and it's private. 2. It keep track of your time spent on private activity. I know you mean the former one but may be you be a little more clear - Privacy-first time tracking app. Also, I would rather have a logo that conveys Privacy rather than Foreground. Just my 2 cents.
