Airbnbs are 4 walled innfluencers. From real life product impressions to recommendations from "local experts," Houstr aims to ensure these properties are properly compensated for their influence while giving businesses a real life distribution channel.
Here's an idea, what if you offer a way for hosts to integrate their curated list of products or experiences into a wifi captive portal during login, so guests for sure see it.
@jeffarukwe great idea! WiFi is pretty much an essential to 99% of guests and is something we’re looking at doing ourselves or with a couple of providers out there that require a first party data capture to access the WiFi. Thank you for the suggestion Jeff!

What a fantastic idea! We use Houstr for our Airbnbs and our guests love it! As an added benefit it puts a meaningful amount of extra money in our pockets. Wishing you all the success!
Interesting concept, the only issue I see is that my house is going to look like Walmart with all the qr tags everywhere (if I want to take selling stuff at my airbnb seriously). My suggestion would be to send people nfc tags or give them the ability to buy them themselves and encode them. That way the tags can be hidden and you just bring your phone next to a product. I suppose I can also just have a single QR code at the door that takes me to the list of everything that can be bought at the house.
@skynet agreed! There’s a fine line between making the space look like a NASCAR and making it a convenient touch point for the visitor. We’re still exploring the best way to get in front of people in a helpful, non intrusive way and appreciate any suggestions we come across!
