@eriktorenberg Hey Erik, long story short-ish..a few months ago, we took a step back from the day to day and realized that shopping online for clothes sucks. It's easy to find great stuff, sure, but why should you pay for something before you try it on? Why should you cover the cost of shipping for something you’re not sure about, or wait two weeks for a refund to be processed? It doesn’t make sense, it’s just something we got used to when shopping online. We don't like shopping that way, and we don't want that to be our customers’ experience at JackThreads.
TryOuts is designed to remove any and all barriers to entry. We are encouraging guys to try new things and making it easier to find some new favorites. Ultimately, we believe if a guy touches and feels the product we have to offer, he will come back time and again.
Finally, from a business perspective, we didn’t want to get into the endless discount death spiral crushing the retail industry right now, so we decided upon a different path. A path where the experience of shopping JackThreads supplants the need for discount. It’s a big bet, but we are having a ton of fun doing it.

@mattrbruno | Thanks Matt. It was a blast to collaborate internally and externally to get feedback as we were creating the video. We used the feedback to iterate with the goal of making the message more clear and effective.
